  • I have used the same tactic to make the gossip shut up. I usually let everyone know I am going to spread a rumour that is so outrageous that it laughable, and then let the gossip overhear me talking. Then they make themself look a pratt. At the moment though, its time to condolidate my position.

There, there - you need to watch your step for sometime. The story about the passanger though made me laugh so much...and I shared it with OH achieving the same effect. Thank you, William, as a result OH is feeling much better from his cold.

have tried to eat but stomach still turning cartwheels.
SW, I was shocked at how much they had on me, though I do remember smiling when I remembered the incident with the stroppy barister who had used the ultimate phrase "do you know who I am" to me, and I put out a PA asking if anyone had lost a fat 40ish man in a suit, who seemed to suffering from amnesia! Unfortunately he wasn't impressed and neither was the manager who was coming up the escalator at the time.

OMG this is brilliant :T :T :T :rotfl:

Hi William. Glad things are getting better. It sounds like you have been used as a scape goat. Well done for tackling it all head on.

As you say it is time to consolidate your position.

  • I have been unable to select a place to go, so we have decided that we will save the night away for our anniversary in July as it will be 10 years.

She is happy with that. I will have the kids all day tomorrow and on sunday we will have a family day. So, I get to take the kids to football tomorrow, and that will be...fun????? Wife is happy that she is getting the day off, I get to take the kids out and have the day with the kids!

She's a bit disappointed that we are not going out, but as I am typing this, she is just about to find, on her pillow, by her bed, a little gift from Tiffanys the Jewellers. Its cost about the same as a decent hotel and the meal etc.

    Night all...

Tears in my eyes reading your post William.

What a lovely couple you two are :) At least with celebrating in July, it gives you time to decide, plan, and hopefully have decent weather. x

Good decision to wait until your anniversary to go away - plus you both still get to have a lovely weekend by sharing it with your beautiful children.

I'm sure you'll be more than in her good books when she sees the present you have left her (you might even get a little extra bonus wink wink......)
