William got to go but I just want to say you know we are all praying for you. Make sure that you have someone nice to take you to work and someone nice who can collect you so you can talk it through at the end. They MUST collect you, you must not be alone, you haven't eaten for days and you haven't slept we are all concerned for you. I hope the day passes quickly and you will be feeling better at the end of the day. Someone said this before, not knowing is the worst. God bless you my friend am praying for a positive result.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Sending you good vibes for 3pm ... print off SW fabby post and keep reading and re-reading it.
Good you have union representation.
Now my top tips...
- no one can see how you are feeling inside;
- in the words of Val Doonican 'Stand tall, stand straight and look the world right in the eye' (hope that made you smile, but I really do mean it because how you stand affects how you feel and what you think);
- at 3pm in the interview, say as little as possible. If you are like me you will want to fill in the gaps, fall on your sword, explain and your feelings may get the better of you ... sooo, know that the pregant pauses are a ruse to make you do this and SAY NOWT and if asked stick to the facts (i.e. not the facts with nobs on like you or anyone else might see it)
- Trust me, I have been there and dismissed from a job at the end of a probationary period ... and actually, it does get better
- If you need your cv re-reviewing or writing, just drop me a PM (I have reviewed and written a few in my time)

I am sure that 'management' turn back into human beings with feelings when they get home, but at work all they care about is looking good to those above them.NorthernLas wrote: »Sending you good vibes for 3pm ... print off SW fabby post and keep reading and re-reading it.

Be guided by your union rep. They know how the system works. I assume you have told them what happened - let them put as much of your case as they want to.
Another one who will be thinking of you today.0 -
Hi
have been lurking, and prompted by FW came on here to see what the latest news was.
Will be thinking of you, but be guided by the advice of your union, and try not to jump in on silences. Let them say their bit, try and keep calm (I know it will be difficult)

Dear all. Another rough night and morning. A cup of coffee in hand, two headache tablets, and a another read through the posts. Another hour of tears as I take onboard the kindness and wisdom of strangers.
Will be guided by my rep & will maintain the silences.
My friends feel that I am mentally exhausted and I think that I agree with that assumption. Need to shower and get ready soon. Thank you all for your kind words and wishes. I know I am my lowest ebb as I walk out the door. I keep thinking "dead man walking" and my stomach wont stop spinning. I will do my best to keep a cool head and my emotions under control.0 -

Good plan. And know all the time that between 3 and 4 this afternoon there are many people who will be thinking of you and trusting that all is well. Good luck and best wishes."Green pastures are before me,

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
William call someone so you can have company before and afterwards.
Remember we are all praying for you. You are bigger than this William, and you will make it through the day I wish i was there you would get a BIG hug right now. Bless you.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I just put on my trousers and found a piece of paper which read "Love you" from my wife. This will be my last post before leaving. I will ask all not to post on here until I get back from the meeting and have posted myself. I love you all. Thank you all0

Meeting lasted from 3pm until 7pm. Emotionally exhausted but the decision is this:
I have been reinstated to full duties as from tomorrow. This doesnt meet I am in the clear. They have still to decide what level of disciplinary action will be taken, though re-instating me does lead the union rep to believe that it might (repeat might) mean that they will go with a 52 week warning.
During the meeting I was made to feel that I was the lowest of the low, with my entire 27 year work record under scrutiny. Everything I have ever done was under the microscope. And to add insult to injury, I now feel I have sold my soul to the devil.
As you may or may not know, this whole thing was because I did what everyone else did on this shift and left early. The management knew that this practice was taking place yet did very nothing about it. The reason I was investigated was the fact that my colleagues sent an email after various incidents occurred after I left and was compounded by the fact that I signed out at an incorrect time. I realise that I made a mistake, admitted that mistake and apologised.
What the management have stated is that should an incident like this happen again, where either myself or a member of staff cuts away early, then the matter will be of dealt with severely.
The real !!!!!!! thing though is that have also stated that should any member of staff take a cutaway and management discover I was on duty with them, it will affect my credibility and that it will reflect badly on me. So basically they are asking me to grass my colleagues up if they leave early. As I said, sell my soul to the devil.
What I will say to my colleagues is this. Please do not ask nor tell me about you taking an early day or a cut away. If I do not know, I cannot be put in an akward position. I am hoping that they understand.
I cannot thank the people on here enough for all their kind words and prayers. Time for a drink (a large scotch) and some thinking time0 -
4 hours. 4 Bloody hours??????? God Almighty. You need a BBBBIIIG drink.
Hopefully the worst case scenario is maybe a disciplinary note on a file. Job is ok. Should i delete this? Keep looking over your shoulder but dont you let them get you down. I do where i work, it is that sort of an environment. I have learned to defend myself when attacked but i dont sling muck with the idiots. Schaudenfreude, petal that's what this is about. You are such a good worker they are not going to do the horrible stuff you thought. You havent sold your soul at all. You are cool your solution is fine.
All the prayers worked. Thank you Lord for protecting our friend.
Now that job is safe you have thinking time, carry on with entrepreneurship, remember what you are good at Mr W. You totally, bloody kick a** ok!!!!
Please rest, do not stress about this any more. We all love ya petal and hope you can rest a bit tomorrow. You must be all adrenalined out. Sending you a big squishy hug. And will one day buy you a big cake to celebrate. Hooray.
Try to have an early night.
Hooray, wish i drank i would be totallly sozzled. Actuallly i might sneak a glass of a bottle my sister left behind!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
