Hi William, I think that SW posted a woderful message. I'll be me and will approach the situation from a different view point. Recently I read somewhere that many of us make a mistake of seeing ourselves as 'job seekers'. If you see yourself as a job seeker you are probably right to feel worried (although my opinion is that you will not lose your job). How about if you start seeing yourself as a 'job creator'? Completely different story. You are in control and emphasise your strengths - of which you have many. Trading is one, foir instance.
Not a hard flip to make and I would advise it whole-heartedly.

Today I read posts from dear friends that I have never met yet are able to touch my heart and make me weep. Thank you so much for your support and advice.
Today I took my wife and children out for lunch and treated both kids to a present for putting up with a moody dad. Also for being the reason I continue on this pathway. One of the friends I spoke to yesterday stated that the last time I was this down was in 1992 when I lost my mother and was ready to walk away from everything. The difference is that in those days, I didnt have any commitments or children. If it was the same today I would be happy to walk away and tell the company to go F**k itsself.
Down to business. FW I could never hope to have an adequate turn over to match my current income. To come close would need a turn over of £38000 per annum. There are not many ebay sellers doing that amount. If I could I would believe me. SW, thanks for the samaritans address and number, but I have a hypnotherapist friend who is a good listener and I will be contacting her this week for an appointment. Hopefully I can get some confidence boosting techniques from her as well. Thank you all.0 -
You are a tower of strength to so many of us. You will make it through this. Focus on what you have, your family love you and always will. Work is just work and you are so talented even blind old me can see it from here. Life has a funny way of working out and you realise how resourceful you can be and how many skills you didn't realise you had till you needed to use them. You will be fine William. Don't let them intimidate you or cause you to have doubts, you are good at what you do, you are William D1964 and we are all proud to know you.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Must stop thinking. Thats what my friends say. I analyze things far too much. So, I have sent the wife to bed and, will now enbark on 4 hours of ironing. I think this is one of the most mind numbing & boring activities that a person can be doing. Also I will watch the cricket highlights.
Thanks my friends0 -
Goodnight. Good to stay busy, enjoy the cricket.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Woke this morning with a heavy head and a migraine...suprise suprise. Didn't sleep well and still this empty feeling in my stomach. Not eating at all well. Managed a slice of toast and 3 coffees. Had to go into town to post some things sold on ebay, and get the kids new school shoes. Walked into town in the rain in the hope it would clear my head, but to no avail. Wifes first day work today. Knew she was nervous, but I know she was excited too.
Just want tomorrow to come so I can gauge or try to gauge the situation at work. I am trying to keep myself positive but the feeling in my stomach makes me nervous.
On the positive side, I made £300 profit this weekend from ebay, even after fees and expenses. This was definately a one-off, as it was high risk.
I am going to spend the next few hours looking at varoius big sellers on ebay that I might be able to source. The problem is quality control, financial outlay and promotion. As well as having the balls to actually risk my meagre finances to kill the debt I have. Will also update my snowball. I know Santander is in course to be paid off by June. Look at me, making plans for the next six months and I don't know whats going to happen in the next few weeks. I have even not booked my tickets to see my team at wembley in April because I am scared that I might not have a job.0 -
Talk about easy come easy go! wife has just appropriated all the profits! The car needed an MOT, and has had to have new breaks front and back, plus the power steering needed sorting. Cost = £345! I could cry, I really could!0
