Love the dress and the invites Birdie - I sat here this afternoon trying to get a mock-up of our invites. It took me ages before the wording sounded right. I'm quite pleased with the mock-up, and Moon likes it too. I can't post a picture, as we can't find the lead for my phone - Moon has tidied it away somewhere, and doesn't remember where! grrr! Anyway, all we need now is to get some ivory paper to print them on as the white is too white for the notecard that they will be inserted into. Have also decided on some sandwich fillings for the afternoon tea reception, so hope they'll be able to do them for us.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Wow, that sounds so familiar! :rotfl:
It sounds like your plans are coming along nicely though! Are you getting excited? Not long now!
Only 25 days to go for me! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oooh just had a bit of wedding ring panic! Our £50 Ernest Jones voucher is finally valid so we're going to buy my ring on Sunday. I rang the shop to ask if they can order it in so we can pick it up on the day and the size I want (size I because I have scrawny little fingers!) will take 24 days to come in! I get married in 24 days! I'm getting it a size bigger and hoping that it'll be OK, if not my local jewellers can resize it in a week for the grand sum of £15. I knew waiting for that voucher to be valid would somehow bite me on the a$$!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. my engagement ring is size I too but i think im going to get a J wedding ring as it does stick on the knuckle if im a bit hot
i had to have it taken down a few sizes when he gave it me as it was falling off my finger lolI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
I'm dense, I was supposed to say I needed a J because my engagement ring is an I and I know you're supposed to get a bigger wedding ring so the one I've ordered is technically 2 sizes too big. I suppose it'll be OK for the wedding day because my hands will be hot so the ring will at least go on easily LOL!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Don't you just love happy coincidences?! I was looking on my company's benefits site because I wanted to get some discounted cinema tickets (which I couldn't find, think the gits have stopped them :wall:) and came across the list of discounted retail vouchers and Ernest Jones was on there so I just ordered £150 worth of vouchers for £132.30! :dance:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Well another thing has been ticked off my list for the party! My friend owns a cafe and she bakes the most amazing cakes. I had her round for tea last night and asked how much she'd charge for a cake for the party and she's making me 3 cakes as a wedding present! We're having chocolate, carrot and coffee and walnut! Mmmmm
I printed off my guest book pages on posh thick paper and they look really good. My Mum said something about buying some mini indoor sparklers for everyone so if she has I'm going to roll the pages around the tubes of sparklers and tie them with ribbon and a name tag to use as place markers.
I'm now trying to write a welcome letter to put in the OOT town bags but not 100% sure what to say! I hate going brain dead, I know the words will come eventually but it's so frustrating waiting for my brain to kick into gear!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Thanks for that Bubbles, it helped to get the creative juices flowing to see the right kind of words in front of me!
Of course, me being me, I've now decided to go a step further and I'm doing a little booklet with the welcome letter, tips we learnt from our last trip, a 'Who's Who' of everyone coming and some useful Spanish phrases! I don't know why I can't just be happy with the simple things! :rotfl:
I've just had 2 phonecalls in a row, our tickets and my wedding ring have arrived! I just hope the vouchers to buy the ring arrive today or tomorrow or we'll be a bit scuppered!
It's a bit scary, this time next week we'll be on our way to the registry office to get married! OH is really excited about it all, he's more excited (and less scared!) than I am, which is odd because I always thought I'd have to drag him down the aisle! :rotfl: We've booked to go to a nice restaurant for lunch and some drinkies afterwards, I'm looking forward to it, even if I am a little freaked out that I'm going to be married next week, albeit 'secretly'!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
