Hi! Instead of clogging up everyone else's threads with my ramblings about my wedding I thought I'd start up a little diary to stick all of my random ideas!
I'm getting married in the Dominican Republic in exactly 1 year :j We're not quite sure how many of our friends and family are coming yet but we hope that a lot of them will be able to make it. Our close family are coming so anyone else is a bonus!
When we get back we're holding a delayed Wedding Reception in our local Rugby Club (which we haven't booked yet! Must get round to doing that!) so that everyone who couldn't come (and of course everyone who does go!) can see me in my pretty dress (I love it so much I'm wearing it twice!) and celebrate with us. It's going to be a Caribbean theme which should be interesting as it'll be March and probably freezing! Not the best time to be wearing short sleeved shirts and shorts!
I've still got loads to do, mainly for the 'Home' side of things as the wedding is booked and we finalise all of the things like flowers and cake when we get there.
I've made our Save the Date 'cards' today- what do you think?

Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Thanks! Because we're obviously travelling for the wedding we wanted something that carried that theme so we've got luggage tags for the Save The Dates and I'm making 'Passports' for the actual invitations!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I've been looking at ideas for decorations and came across this, I need to figure out a way to do it that doesn't cost $350!
I suppose I could get a patio umbrella stand thingy and get some wooden dowl for the stand, it's going to be all covered up so as long as it's sturdy it doesn't matter what I use! Gave the task to MIL to sort out!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

That fruit tree is great! I'm sure you can do it a hell of alot cheaper than $350! You just need to be creative and get some fresh fruit. Would it have to be done on the day, because it wouldn't fit back in a fridge lol
Those STD (:rotfl:) cards are so cute! Defo not something someone would forget either and i bet everyone shows their friendsWhat a great idea.
