As OH is off out painting the town red I've been enjoying a quiet night in alone and looking for bridesmaid dresses and I found a site in America who have a shop in the Florida Mall, which is where my parents are going in May (well, they're not staying at the mall but YKWIM!) and since the prices are quite reasonable I thought that I could order them into the shop and send Mum in to collect them!
Opinions please?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Middle one, a flattering shape for all.0

Middle one is flattering for all, the top one has a nice cut though and I really like the colour. Wouldn't work for more busty or curvy ladies though but I don't know the shape of the bridesmaids. Not a fan of the third one, looks a bit like a babydoll nightie!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

The top one is my favourite. They all seem a bit short though. It might be okay cos it is sunny but I wouldn't be that keen to wear a bridesmaid dress so short - unless I was a size 8 and had a nice tan.
Just an honest personal opinion. They would probably work out better cos it is a wedding in the sun but my bridesmaids dresses were just below the knee.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

My bridesmaids are both size 10, average/smallish busts so the top dress shouldn't be an issue with them. I do think that the middle dress is more appropriate as it's more 'holiday'. That said the top dress would fit in with my wedding dress with the sweetheart neckline and sparkly brooch. But the colour of the middle dress is more what I was after....
Hmmm... think I'll have to see what the BMs think!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Good point and they are a little short IMO too but it seems like it's either really long (for a 'short dress IYKWIM) or really short and I don't want them to feel too covered up in the hot weather. One of the BMs is only 5'2" so a knee length dress on her will go down to her ankles so I've got an extra task of finding something that'll look right on her and the other BM who is 5'6"!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. You have plenty of time to pick the dresses anyway so don't worry too much about them. Another option is to get them made by a dressmaker in the UK. That way you can design it yourself. If you know someone locally then it shouldn't cost too much. That way the length won't matter too much and you could have a longer (knee length) version of any of the dresses.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Oooh I *love* the top one which is so pretty and classy. Not so keen on the embroidery on the second one - the top one looks more for a special occasion. Exciting though!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
