I'm going to have to have a look to see what's available and what I like. The boxes I like on etsy have been covered with silk and they look lovely. With the boxes being round it might be easier to work fabric round them too, if it's thick paper it may look messy around the edges where I've tried to fold it over a curve? Not sure! I've got plenty of time to think about it though!

I want to find some bright tropical-y flowers to stick on the top of it too. I had my eye on some pink hibiscus hair clips in Accessorize and now they're not on the website anymore! I'll have to find some silk flowers from somewhere.

-Postcards - they can send us a postcard home with a message on for us to see when we get home if we provide the cards and stamps which we'll have to buy when we get there... maybe we could hand them out after the wedding... Hmmmm, will think about that.

Congratulations Microsmiling! You'll have to share your ideas with me, I'm always trying to think of more!

I was having a mooch through my wardrobe and I think that I may have had the dresses I've been looking for all along!

MIL2B bought me this dress from Joules a few months ago and I was waiting for the right occasion to wear it, but it looks like it could be ideal for the registry office! You can't really see on the picture but it's cream with little pink polka dots and although I don't normally like exposed zips, I love this one!



Even deeper in the wardrobe was a dress that I bought about 2 years ago for a ball that never happened (it only cost about £50 down from £250 in a designer clearance thingy) and I reckon it'll be great for changing into if/when I get fed up of my wedding dress, it's a perfect colour for the setting! It's not the greatest photo, in real life it's a really vibrant turquoise.

Hehe thanks Bubbles, I agree that I am a plonker! It just goes to show that buying dresses 'just in case' does work out in the end!

OH went into the travel agents and paid off the balance of the wedding this morning, phew! I know it would have been more sensible to hold onto the money until November when the money was due but we just wanted it paid off so we knew that it was definitely sorted! Now we can think about the Honeymoon!

No we're going to the Riu Mambo. We've already been so no nasty surprises!

It's only 6 and a bit months to go... 199 days!

We're going to go to Orlando in September next year for our honeymoon, OH's already been chatting up the travel agent for a good discount!
