Yay about the dress Birdie! Bit worried that when my dress comes in (around October/November) I'll have put on weight - seem to have been putting alot on recently. Must be all of the free time I have now I'm supply teaching rather than full time, and also all of the cakes in the staffrooms. lolEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

I'm a little worried too, I had planned on losing a bit of podge but clearly failed. Think I've even put a few pounds! As long as it fits, which it should, I'll be happy! I'll just have to concentrate on toning up so I've got no flabby bits come the big day!
I hope I can get some wedge sandals on Monday when I go shopping with the Mums so I have them when I try my dress on again, hopefully it'll be next weekend!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. They have these in M&S - not sure if they're your style, but if you're looking for something simple with a fairly low wedge heel that is on the highstreet, they may be the shoe for you. Or these for only £15 (also M&S).
These in Monsoon for £40 but denim, so not sure if suitable.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Hey! (Wherever you are!
)
I was doing a bit of screen shopping yesterday and saw these on Asos. I was thinking for ages 'I'm sure someone was after something like that!' then it clicked, although reading back it doesn't have a heel like you wantedBut, they are sparkly!

Thanks for the shoe links! I'm in a right sulk about shoes at the moment, I can't find what I want and I'm (hopefully) trying my dress on on Saturday!
I went shopping with my Mum and MIL2B yesterday and found nothing I liked, everything is too casual or too flat!
I also can't find a short white/cream dress which is driving me potty too. The only thing I liked was this but they only had a size 10 and because I'm a greedy cow at the minute who just keeps getting podgier and podgier the zip wouldn't do up and I'm not wasting money on buying a dress that may not fit come the wedding!I was in a right mood by the end of the shopping trip!
I did get OH's outfit though! He's wearing this shirt (with the sleeves rolled up) and some linen trousers from M&S that I can't find on the website! He'd been worrying about the first shirt he bought which was a white linen one from Next, it wasn't fancy enough. He doesn't want anyone turning up in a better outfit than him but every suggestion I had for him 'standing out' was shot down, he didn't want colour because he didn't want sweat patches, he can't wear a suit because it's too hot etc so we were feeling a bit stuck! This shirt seems like the ideal in between, it's still white but the pattern makes him stand out as the groom and surprisingly he likes it! I thought he'd say it's too 'gay' and refuse to wear it but he didn't, I think he's also happy wearing a shirt that 'technically' cost £130 (although I only paid £65!) rather than his £26 Next one!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. That's a pretty dress Cinny but I've got nothing to fill it, it'd look terrible on my flat chest! :eek:
I just don't know what's going on at the minute, everything I see is too short, too tight, too booby, too frumpy etc... I'd probably find something I liked if I was feeling better body-wise but I'm feeling podgy at the minute which is making finding things I like difficult because I feel gross!
Feeling very sulky at the moment, can you tell?! It's the wrong time of the month for me right now, I'm sure I'll be chirpier next week!
I'm trying my dress on at 1.30 on Saturday and my Mum suggested I take my Fit Flops because they're about the right height and if all else fails I can get these (or the sparkly ones) because my feet will probably not even be seen... I'm just being a bit bridezilla about it all and want things to be just right!
Oh and annoyingly after looking for and failing to find the perfect blue dress and giving up and getting the coral one for my BM I've found this! Bah! Why does the perfect thing pop up after you decide to get an alternative, and even with shipping it'd still be cheaper than the Coast dress?! I love the coral dress though so I'm going to stick with it! I'm just trying to think of what OH could wear (or me) to tie it all together a bit more...Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. That's the one I liked Swinstie but it's out of stock on the website!
I'm going to have a look tomorrow since I'm going to try my dress on so I'll have a wander round the shops too! I might get a bridesmaid dress in white if I can't find anything on the high street, I'm going to have a look in the dress shop tomorrow to see what styles they've got then order from House of Brides since it's a lot cheaper to do it that way. I could save more if I get it made in China but I'm not sure about it, I suppose it depends on the style and fabric I choose I suppose, if it's simple then it might be OK, any fancier and it could end up looking bad!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
