You can get battery operated 'candles' for less than £1 each, might be more cost effective. Loving the lantern idea. You are going to be having a fantastic party.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Thanks for the suggestions! Loving the 'candles', they don't get warm do they?
I love the string lights too, a bit more pricey but I could just get one set and maybe hang them around the bar perhaps.... will have a think about that one!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Birdie and all other brides getting married abroad and having a party when you get back, I saw something lovely on a website the other day, that would be an alternative to a guest book.
Buy lots of postcards from your destination, and have the guest fill out the postcards for your guest book, and then you can put them in clear slotted photo albums for your guest book.
Think I'll be doing this for my wedding reception, getting postcards from Jamaica.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -

That sounds like a great idea.
Happy belated birthday Birdie! We did a guest photo album with polaroid photos. It is still great to look back on, but I gather polaroid photos are now extinct so you would have to do it with digital photos.
This is where we got the album:

That's a nice idea too CMD! I wonder if I can use that idea (like with the little PoGo thingy) with our little 'photobooth' I want to set up so people can take daft pictures then stick them in the book with a message.
My Mum has sent me a text from Florida saying she went to the Dollar Tree (like the pound shop) and bought lots of banners and what not so I'm looking forward to seeing what she's bought!
I also had a panic this morning, I got a phonecall from the travel agent with bad news... the hotel is removing the optics from the rooms! Gutted! It could be a lot worse though so I'm glad that's all it was! At least the mini bars are still in the rooms, it just means that our post-shower-pre-dinner-rum-and-coke won't be happening, I'll just have to send OH out to the bar to get 2 to bring back to the room!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Aw can they not do you a little freebie of something or other when you're there to make up for it? It IS the most important holiday of your lives after all!
Birdie I was watching the Gadget Show (don't ask, Dad loves it and I was in the room on my sewing machine) the other night and they were doing this thing where they had to create a holiday in a barn, and they had all these flashing palm trees and things - made me think of you! They were sooo kitsch! I've tried to find them online to show you but can'tWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
