I went to a friend's wedding on Saturday and her hair was quite similar to what I fancy and she wore a headband with sparkly bits on the side and it looked good so I'm feeling more happy about it now! I think it looked a bit dodgy in the photo I had taken because my hair was a bit ratty and in need of a cut so the 'look' wasn't great!
I saw my Mum on Friday and the stuff she's got for the party is incredible! She must have bought out the Dollar Tree! I'll take a picture of it all tonight, there's loads! And it was all cheaper than I could have bought online. They're going back later this year on 'business' for a conference (well, my Dad is going because it's his business and Mum is going to 'help' him! I don't she would have if the conference wasn't in Orlando! I tried to convince him that he needs my help too but he's not buying it!) and she's said that she'll look again if I want her to, yes please! There are leis, banners, cut-outs, scene setters, center pieces, napkins, straws... oooh all sorts! She's done very well! She didn't get a different dress though, apparently my Dad was a 'nightmare' to shop with so it's lucky that she got that Monsoon dress, she bought lovely little sandals to go with it and my Dad's clothes have been bought so they're all sorted.
It also looks like 2 more friends are booking their seats this weekend, I'm not getting my hopes up too much but they're really keen and are saying that they want to come for the full 2 weeks as it's only £170 more for the second week so they 'might as well', how exciting!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I can't wait to have a root through it all again! OH just looked at it all and shook his head!
Ooooh and I'm going shopping with SIL and Mum on Sunday to look for dresses for her. Was hoping to see other 'BM' this weekend to un-BM her but I'll have to do it on Wednesday after our dance class! I'm also going shopping with MIL2B on Saturday to look for nice dresses for her; I can't decide where to go though. I'm thinking York or Leeds, I need somewhere with a big Monsoon and lots of nice shops for ladies 'of a certain age'.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. They look really good Birdie - well done to your mum for finding them for you. I've finally sorted out my venue - my Mum says I need to visit it first to see what it is like, as it's been a while since my friend had her reception there, but can't do it tomorrow as she wants me to go over and see my Nan as she had an operation today. We are having an afternoon tea for 40 people at a local golf club, so no bringing the Caribbean back with us any more. Am slightly jealous of your party though - sounds like it's going to be great fun!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hehe, I think my Mum got a little carried away with the flamingos, there are cut-outs, napkins, straws, banners... all with flamingos on! I think she's decided she likes them... as long as we don't end up with a real one!:eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. If she mentions a little day trip to Flamingo Land I think you'd need to have words..:D
