No I don't think it would look stupid at all, its only a slightly cooler, paler shade of your dress, very glamourous wedding you have planned for a very casual setting - it'd look fantastic.

Oooh I'm glad you said that! I like that the neckline and waist mirror my dress and I could warm them up with accessories, I think the colour would look nice with a tan too!

I'm sorry! I've spent ages on there too, I'm mentally adding to my holiday wardrobe and wishing I was skinnier so I could wear some of the lovely body-con dresses!

Thanks for the link Bubbles! Not too keen on that particular dress, but I've seen loads to add to my 'Want it need it!' list!

I'm seeing my SIL tonight so I'll have a look with her and see what she thinks of the silver dress in particular.

Well after Dinah's not so glowing review of Goddiva dresses on her thread I think I'm scrapping the idea of the silver dress for my BMs! Back to square one!

I'm going to take my SIL shopping to see what suits her and what she likes when she gets back from her holiday and I've got a free Saturday so realistically speaking that'll be around the 2nd week in June. I think I'll let the will-she-won't-she BM know that if she won't commit to coming by then that I'm only going to have my SIL as BM because I want the dresses sorted out so I'm not worrying about it and I can get on with the task of finding matching sandals etc whilst the summer stuff is still in the shops.

I was talking to my Mum the other night and she has offered to pay for SIL's dress, which is a relief! When I mentioned the dress plans to OH last night he said that he isn't happy paying 'a lot' for the other BM's dress as he's not too keen on her and is really annoyed with how she keeps messing us around, we booked it in half term for her and she really wanted to be BM and now she's completely changed her tune and keeps going on about 'maybe not being able to come' but not saying anything for definite whilst her OH keeps saying that they're coming! Anyhoo, the long and the short of it is that I've got a decent budget (around £150ish probably) for one BM and a tiny budget (as little as possible if it is up to OH!) for the other and no idea what to do about it!

In happier news, our first friends have booked and paid their deposit so I'm very excited! I think they were waiting for the invite to arrive to get definite dates and booking info because they sorted it within about 2 days of getting it! How great is that?! OH is giddy about it because it's 'his' friend so he's already planning what silliness they can get up to!

I've been looking for bits of decoration (to decorate our as yet unconfirmed venue... bloomin' useless OH!) and I'm thinking of ordering lots of lanterns like these in lots of bright colours to hang from the ceiling. I'm not sure how to light them though, I'd seen the little LED lights to go in them but they're not that cheap when I need about 15 of them! Hmmmmm....
