No matter how keen they are to be involved, the actual execution seems to be another matter! That said NIM is the same for everything, lots of ideas, poor follow through! Give him a deadline, or tell him how important it is it gets done maybe? With it all so far away he might think its not very urgent.

What's bugging me is that he gave me a deadline to make the invites by, which I met (more or less...) and then they just sat around for ages! All he had to do was buy a book of stamps, post the ones that needed posting and take the others to his Mum's house, I sorted everything else! I ended up posting them myself and said I wanted all the other ones out of the flat by Friday, I left the last one that needed an address on 'his' seat this morning so I'm hoping he got the hint!

I might just book the venue myself, but I don't want to give in! It's his club that we're having it at so it makes sense that he does it!

Tete, this is my dress and it's in this colour (the back is practically identical to my dress as far as I remember too!)

I love the champagne colour, so delicate. That second dress looks like a shinier version of one of my bridesmaids dresses! Can't wait for those to arrive actually. And my dress is due next month. Exciting!

It does actually! I really love your BM dresses (all 3 of them!), I've been trying to convince my friend that she wants one of those styles for her BMs but she hates taffeta for some reason so it looks like a no-no!

I think my dress will be in the shop in July, I can't wait! Although it does mean that I have to pay the other half which is a worry but we'll find the money from somewhere I'm sure!

congrats Birdie, I would be jealous if we hadn't already been to DR on holiday. I'd go again if only to bathe in the sun all day.

One thing I did want to say is about the vaccinations. We went to DR in November last year and had to have Hep A and B (twinrix, which is 2 vaccinations in one neeedle) tetanus, Typhoid and Diphtheria, altogether 5 needles, and of course there's the anti malarials too. We went to Puerto Plata (Bluebay Villas) so not far from where you're going. I know some of the vaccinations depend on where in the country you are.

We bought our anti malarials from the chemist although you can get them equally as cheap online. All our vaccinations were free.

Sorry if you already knew all this, but we were not so pleasantly surprised to find out we'd need so many vaccinations. There's a chance that some of your guests will need the whole lot too!

Good luck on everything else and your dress is gorgeous btw! Enjoy the weather, I miss that more than anything!

If you're going to do any trips, DON'T DO PARADISE ISLAND and DEFINATELY DO THE CATAMARAN!

Ah yes, I remember now much prefer the colour you're going for than the one it's shown in, I like the sweetheart neckline. Have you really cleared that much debt? Wow!

Errr... the £4k is what I owe my Mum, I never even noticed that I'd forgotten to put that in my sig since I'm trying to concentrate on the CCs! Don't even talk to me about debts and what not at the minute, it's all doing my head in and I never have enough spare cash to last the month let alone make overpayments on anything!

Thanks for the tips Screamer! We already had the necessary vaccinations when we went last year (I got filled up with everything when I went to Mexico when I was younger) but I think I'm going to need boosters this year. I've let guests know on the invites which vaccinations are recommended but I didn't think we'd need anti-malarial stuff, I looked into it last year but read that as long as you stay on the east side of the island and don't go off the beaten track you don't need it?!

Thanks for the trip recommendations! We were looking into Paradise Island, why is it a no-go?
