Hi Thrifty Fifty, thanks for reading.
I had that thing from Barclay Card as well, but shredded it without reading!
I can't wait for the day I am free. I believe that being debt free enables you to be free on every level; free to work where you choose (not because you have to earn a certain amount), free to travel where you want when you want, to spend or save your money as you wish. I look forward to the day when no-one has any control over my life except for me.
Good luck with your debt free journey as well xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Well done Lemon Tree, Friday will be here before you know it. Who's next on your debt busting list?LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

next on the list is Northern Rock loan, should take a year to pay off that one, barring unforseen circumstances, which will still be about 16mths early again. Then it's just the bank of mum and dad who don't actually want me to pay off early. I'm still struggling with that one as i really want to be debt free but i understand their motives as well. Maybe i'll start on the mortgage then.
can i take it Barclaycard are your next target?0 -
Barclay Card will be paid off in full next Friday, yippee!
Then starting on the gigantic Lloyds credit card, which currently stands at £10,037 - costing about £140 per month in interest alone, eek!
Why the hell did they have to give me such a massive limit - if they had only given me £1k I would of only spent £1K! I know it's my fault and I didn't have to spend the money but a £10,800 limit is quite frankly ridiculous given my salary.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I sometimes wonder about the credit limits too Woowoo!
Many many congratulations again on clearing B/card, that is a great achievement.

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

2 more days until pay day when I also receive a bonus from work, which for the first time in my history of employment I will be using to pay off some of my debt. It's about £500 after tax and will be going straight off the Lloyds Card.
Does anyone else wonder what the hell they used to spend their money on, I seem to be able to live on nothing these days?
I guess thats called determination as I can't spend anything now without thinking I would have rather paid that off my debt. Once that lightbulb has been turned on, there's no switching it back off again.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
