Am actually feeling quite annoyed with my Lloyds statement now as I am determined to hit £15,999 with my March payments and will now have conjure up almost £70 extra from somewhere to get there.

Did good on the Tesco shop last night, I actually brought cheap shampoo and conditioner, I have been known to waste £6 on this stuff before so it was really tough picking up the cheap one and actually putting it in the trolley! Still it smelt of yummy coconuts so I'm sure it won't be that bad.

My Mum has agreed to lend me the £1000 I need to clear my Virgin card. This has been costing me £20 a month in interest.

Better still she wants me to pay her back last, so I can really crack on with clearing the horrific £10k Lloyds Credit Card.

I really am lucky to have such supportive parents.

Have just called Lloyds as after looking at my statement again it seemed strange that my minimum payment was the exact same amount as the interest they had applied. Gave them a call and they admitted they have made an error and will refund the interest and start again.

No idea what I owe now, but reckon it will be under the £10k mark, yippee!!!!

Well done on the Lloyds Card, I have had lots of problems over the years with these. I asked to change my statement date only by a few days 1st attempt years ago they said it couldnt be done, which has caused me many late fees. I kept asking every year or so and then recently I asked and was told yes no problem so after writing a letter of complaint which they lost they eventually credit my card with £15 compensation and returned one £12 fee. I have now sent off to get all my old charges back, I need them more than they do.
Good news on the loan from your mum

credit card companies realy are the pits aren't they. How many people wouldn't have checked their statements and ended up paying the interest that they had put on in error.
i had a problem with barclaycard closing my account a few years ago, took me ages and lots of phone calls and it turned out the they didn't really close it, because they thought i may want to go back to them and it would alledgedly make the credit checks go easier.... why would i want to go back to them?

I have sent the money to Virgin and as soon as it clears I will be closing this account - bye bye Richard! My statement is due on Friday so am praying the funds clear before then so they can't sneak on some more interest.

Did anyone see that poor lady on GMTV this morning who owes £16k on credit cards, she was so upset. I really hope she knows about this website, as I don't know what I would do without it to be honest.

My OH was mortified by me yesterday - we were in KFC and a couple of teenagers threw their coppers on the floor (not dropped threw, can you believe it!). Well there was no way I could walk out of there without picking them up so I actually commented to them that as they didn't want it I would be putting it in my penny pot - so thats another 6p sent to Barclay card today.

Love it Woo - how long is your statement each month from Bcard - it must cost them money to process all your little payments!!!

My last one filled the whole sheet with 'payment recieved thank you' and its all tiny random amounts - I love the thought that I am costing them money!
