Love it, im the same with the pennies but not as 'diligent' I must up my game! ill put my pennies into a saving jar though as im going to use them to clear a junk off my overdraft at some point once my jar is full! My OH gets mortified aswell sometimes - my worst situation was where i was in the middle of the road trying to up a 10p - nearly got run over - but it was worth it!!!!

I too visited the Bank of Mum and Dad recently, well Mum, Dad and Aunty all lumping together! Its a loan thats to be paid back but ive been given 3 few months to clear my other cc before ive to start to pay it back (the loan was to clear a 5,600 BOS cc)!

Goodluck i will be following 'Penny Watch 2010'

Well done on being so brave in KFC, admittedly my OH would have been the same.

I even pick up coins when abroad, my best was a one euro coin. Don't have as much luck as you though in regularly spotting them.

Thanks Bad Weather, good luck with clearing your other credit card before you have to start paying your loan back.

Natsplatnat - can you believe our 20's are almost over, sob! I'm wondering if I will somehow morph into a sensible adult once I hit 30?

Can you believe I found 3 pennies outside my house this morning, however they were all so old and rusty I really don't think the bank will accept them. Am very tempted to leave them soaking in some vinegar overnight to see if that will restore them!

woowoo, if you've bagged up the pennies and two pennies into their acceptable denominations then the bank won't know that there's some grotty ones amongst them. That's what i do.
well done for paying off Richard, hope you enjoy dumping him, it's nothing less than he deserves! :)

Thanks Lemon Tree, I will have a go at sneaking them in - I think I am beyond embarrassment these days anway!

I took great pleasure in dumping Richard, its made me so impatient to get rid of everything else though. I want to be out of debt NOW!

I agree with lemon tree! If you bag them they usually just weight the bag! So they wont even see the scabby pennies!

And they have to except them they're legal currency scabby or barnd new! :money:

I put the 3 pennies in some vinegar when I went home for lunch, ready for a good scrubbing when I get home. I can hardly believe my life has come down to this, but it actually makes me laugh rather than cry!

Keza - haven't had to try the cheap shampoo & conditioner yet as currently squeezing the last bit out of my old bottles! Does anyone else get excited about trying new shampoo out or is that just me?

Woowoo - if you have any coke-cola (or similar own brand! lol) that will clena them up a treat if the vinegar doesn't touch them!
