Apparently clearing your balance before your statement date isn't enough to stop Virgin applying £14.04 of interest
Why does that not surprise me. That Richard has a lot to answer for!:mad:LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Got a quote of £47.00 ish for flogging my cd's to musicmagpie - quite a few are in damaged cases and are quite old so not expecting to recieve the full amount. They will earn me more than just being sat in the loft though!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I think they charge 25p if they have to replace the casing. Have a look on ebay and see if you can get some cheaper than that!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Hope everyone has a good day

Hi SHWA
It really does work, as you are constantly thinking I would rather pay this off my debt instead of buying that magazine, chocolate bar etc - you will clear that £5k in no time xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I walked to work again today, no rain but nearly fell on my backside trying to jump across a muddy puddle!
Petrol light came on last night, I used my remaining petrol allowance for this week for the Virgin interest so am running on fumes until Friday! Planning to walk on Thursday anyway so sure it will all be fine.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Just closed my Barclay Card – that was hard work:
BC - Why do you want to close your account?
Me – because I have cleared my balance.
BC – did you do a consolidation or clear yourself?
Me – all by myself (very proud)
BC – what will you use to purchase your items in the future?
Me – my debit card
BC – what about for online shopping?
Me – look I just want to close the account ok!
BC – I’m just trying to do my job
Interview terminated – account CLOSED!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Excellent stuff :T Well done on walking into work, good on you. Thankfully I get to work from home a lot so don't use to much fuel0 -
To BC - 'well sure you pay the bill and I will shop on line, anything particular you want me to buy' - what are they not like.
