VC So why are you choosing to close your account
TF Because you're gits!!
Damn it though, I don't get to do that to them because I opted out of the 'pay double the interest thing' so my account automatically closes as soon as the balance is paid off (ie as soon as humanly possible). D'oh! I do hope they send me some kind of satisfaction survey.

Thanks Red, that's one of the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.
It's almost been worth going through this just for the lovely people I have met on here!

I walked home in the rain and survived by repeating the mantra 'I am walking towards financial freedom'.
Found 5p on the floor as well, so it wasn't all bad!
I now have 13p in the penny pot to send to Lloyds, I am waiting to see what money I have left after I have done the Tesco shop on Saturday and then I can pay it all in the bank and send it to Lloyds.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

hi, hope you're warm and dry now.
I started on my debt free journey in March 2006, but wasn't able to do too much overpaying for quite some time.0 -
Hi Woowoo
Just discovered your diary and have really enjoyed reading it. Well done you on your motivation and determination.
About picking up pennies...I was reading in 'How to live on just a pound a day' that literally thousands of pounds worth of pennies have dropped out of circulation and are thought to be lying around outside, down the back of the sofa, dropped all over the place. Looks like you're on a mission to find them all and best of luck to you! What a great idea.
You're really helping to motivate me so thanks very much for that. We will get there, a penny at a time.

Had a 5.30 a.m start today to get to London to pick my OH's new car up. Had a 3 mile walk through the city centre and only found 1p on the floor!
Am a bit cross as he has now gone over the pub and told his mate I will give him a lift home later - so much for not driving my car until Tuesday!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Just sent £1.01 to Lloyds, only £8.75 to find now.
Today was actually a NSD as my OH paid for everything (as he was the one who needed to go to London).
I have a £60 budget for the bank holiday weekend as I am taking OH out for a curry tomorrow night for his birthday. Am really hoping to save some of this money though to send some more to Lloyds.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
