I don't now if its any help to you or anyone else looking to earn a little extra to pay off debts, the other day I was telling someone I was getting a cleaner and they suddenly became very animated how did I manage to get one etc. It turned out they were desperate, as their lady had finished, but they could not get anyone else. Then this afternoon I was talking to a cleaner who was doing it full time she had to cancel 4 families this week as she couldn't cope.

Apparently people don't want to do these sort of jobs any more. The need may vary in different areas, so will need some research, but it might be a good opportunity for someone.

Update - I passed the assessment so *think * I've got the job - however they want me to start on Monday, despite my saying I'm still employed by present company until Tuesday, so it'll be the week after - still waiting for them to sort it out!!

However, I'm sure we will manage something.. so in 2 weeks time I will be working in something I can only afford to do because I'm getting tax rebates this year!!! and will need food parcels from mum!

Anyway.. full update and my now woeful SOA will be forthcoming once all the details are confirmed. At least I have now stopped panicking!

I got the temp job, enough to keep me going (just!)
Current boss is rumoured to be coming in with decent job offer at 11th hour (find out by Monday)
Ex b/f has been sweet as pie and may become b/f again

Off to buy ice cream and diet coke!

Good luck with the job front, whichever way you choose to go. I know how scary it is not knowing whether you're coming or going.

Well I guess my heart is in Scotland cos I just turned down an interview for a job down south. A year of no travel, exercise, proper food and writing my novel is the thing.

Hold on for 31st August when I pay off the last of the loans and am DEBT FREE!!

arrrgh and now I have an interview for a temp job in scotland @ £300 a day...

just when I was feeling SETTLED now my stomach is churning at the prospect of having to make a decision and be all insecure again!!!

calm... low pay, low stress... novel writing... happiness....

But what on earth do I say to the agent? What if I HATE low pay and need her to find me something in a month or two????
