Thanks BFF.
Had a brief chat with him and it's seems like it's over. We might aim to be friends in a few months, maybe, so that seems less awful. Probably a huge mistake but there you go.
On the plus side parents have been fab, have assured me I will not need to sell house as they will help with mortgage if it comes to it (I know how lucky I am there!) and have been surprisingly supportive of me taking a pants job (and writing the novel on the side!)
I am off to the cookingbynumbers.com site to give them a laugh about what we are having for tea!Debt free 4th April 2007.

Hi hun hope you are feeling better today. Sounds like you have turned the corner things WILL start to get better. Manchester rocks!!! well sometimes!( says the woman who spends ages looking at estate agents in Lytham!) Seriously you are amazing and strong. Its awful when people say you are overqualified for a job that they decided to interview you for. My best ever moment at an interview was when I finally snapped and told the child that was interviewing me that he was a greasy little oik and that I'd rather starve than work for him and his poxy organisation. The look was totally priceless! (this was a total surprise to me as much as to him-i'm a bit of a wimp think things but hardly ever say them and where it came from i'm not sure) graet fun. kEEP SMILING ! YOU ROCK. AXBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Hi Emmzi,
only just said hi to you in my own £100K club, and then noticed your "happy" club.
Just want to say, you are not alone, we are all thinking of you. It does make you wonder sometimes, if there is the light at the end of a tunnel, well there better be! One day we will all look back and laugh at todays problems, we will. You just don't forget to post on here when it does happen, so I can say "Itold you so". Give us a gorgeous smile of yours, go on.

Keeping going girl. That job is out there.
Years ago, someone suggested I ask the interviewers the following question at the end of the interview:
"Do you have any concerns about me, or my suitability for the job?"
I must admit it really works. It then gvies you a good opportunity to sort out any negatives they may have, and finish on positive note.
I believe in fate. I know this may sound corny but often something happens against my wishes but works out to be a far better thing in the long run.
Although your job change isn't your choice. Maybe it's happened for a reason, and that a great opportunity is just around the corner. Is this too corny?
Tale care

2 more job rejections today.
I have a minimum wage interview on Monday. I have lied and said I am going to be a part time student in order to get them to see me.(as I am over qualified).
With savings and tax rebate, I could survive about 4 years. Just!!! (Surely they'd promote me though???)
If this doesn't work, and I'mstillunemployed, I SWEAR I am going to sign on and get pregnant. I need the child benefit to pay the mortgage!!!
Ok. I don't really mean that. But I'm damn close to meaning it!Debt free 4th April 2007.

Am new to this site and have just read your entire thread. I hope things work out for you soon - you just need to believe in yourself. I'm sure there's a job out there for you that'll be perfect.
Keep your chin up.

Feeling better about minimum wage job today. It'll keep me going and because it is local I can
-cook for myself instead of eating fat hotel food
-go for walks and bike rides
- actually see my friends
-do my own garden
- maybe even do volunteer work
- and maybe even finish my novel!
All that doesn't sound so bad!
According to the website, I should know the day after ie Tuesday.
So.. who's been to an inbound customer service (not sales) call centre assessment, and what are they looking for???Debt free 4th April 2007.
