Thats the program.
One set had to chew 30 times, one had to chew for 30secs and then tip their heads back and let it slide down their throats and anything that did go down had to be spat out and the last group had the first calorie controlled diet i think.
So you see, they've been crazy dieting for hundreds of years!:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
Thanks Sammy - does that mean it won't affect my weight loss this week? I would hate my first weigh-in to be a gain!
I am eating about the same in terms of fruit and veg, but definitely more beans. So I guess that explains it!
Did you find you felt you were eating too much at first? It takes some getting used to, when you spend your life before SW watching every morsel.....
I dont know if it will effect your weight loss or not TBH.
Im not following the SW plan (see above posts) but i am eating a huge amount of fruit and veg compared to before, so i know exactly how you feel with the bloating! But beside that the other "side effects" have been brilliant, my skin for example has never been so clear.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
I find that sometimes when I eat loads of fruit and veg I am bloated and that happened last week so I didn't lose. However my consultant was great and basically said that was exactly why! It does take the body a little while to get used to change, and sometimes does things weirdly but I'd def say that it works. I'm not vegan or vegie but a huge carb fan and I love my green days, it's def worked for me. However IF you haven't lost weight in your first week, please put it down to that and persevere, it does work i promise!! Sometimes it takes a little while to get your head around what your allowed too and so we've had lots of ppl in group not lose much for the first few weeks, and then suddenly, 4lbs in one week!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009
Loss so far 3 stones & 7 lbs!! :j

Hey ladies, nice suggestion about the Special K and I am sure you have our best interests at heart, but can we just stick to SW please? It is so easy to go off topic and we could have many many threads about the best and worst diet. I suggest that what works for one person won't necessarily work for the next. We all have our weighs (get it?) and means.
I have postponed weigh in tonight as I have a meeting, so will be going tomorrow. Had a pretty good week. Although the Wendsleydale cheese in the fridge is gagging to be eaten in one go! I wish there were a magic pill for this!
Just to add a final warning about Special K - it is only suitable if your BMI is over 25. It does say on the advert in tiny print but it can be dangerous otherwise. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
I would just like to apologise to everyone who is participating in this thread regarding SW.
My suggestion of Special K was purely meant as a helpful tip based on my positive experience for all those brides to be who are trying to loose a few lbs before the big day.
I never intended for this thread to be taken over by the conversation and had hoped that the previous thread asking for the topic to return to SW would end the conversation.
I am truely sorry for the hijacking, i know how annoying it must be for all those of you who are looking for help and support.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -

slimming world is amazing especially if you get a really motivating consultant she always says that theres two ways to lose weight the scenic route where you still have your night outs and treats regularly or the m4 route straight to goal and still live your life but a little more restrictive watching your snacks a little closer but either way on s/w you will lose weight....
...
I hate the SW format, its like confession time at an AA meeting!
I think a group talk on food, exercise, recipes (like WW do) is much better. Its like the spotlight is on you, while this is OK if you are loosing, if you are struggling its awful.0
