Oh forgot to add - i use special K with red berries (tescos equivilant), its super yummy. I dont like the plain stuff. But the diet still works with it!

Hi Mrs Moore To Be - bit off track now, but if your goal is to drop a dress size then i would try the special K diet rather than forking out cash to a slimming club.

Special K (i use tesco's own brand, same stuff but half the price) for breakfast, and lunch and a real decent (healthy) meal for tea. I have a couple of pieces of fruit during the day, and a yoghurt (shapes fuller for longer are fab and really work) oh and sometimes i have another snack such as blue riband and other choccy bars like that which have 99cals per bar.

In 2 weeks i have dropped a dress size, and the weight is still falling off. Im still eating like a pig and snacking through the day but its much healthier now. As long as you dont be silly about it and eat only cereal and 1 meal its a perfectly healthy and safe diet.

but that is not a healthy diet because the second you stop you put the weight back on.

if you actually follow slimming world you can enjoy eating real foods.

i've tried the special k diet and found it really boring and didn't stick to it and how many women do you know who have lost 3 , 4 , even 5 stone doing special k?

i tried the special k as well and could only last a couple of days, tbh id much rather do SW or WW where you can actually eat a proper amount of healthy food.

i think the key is to find one thats right for you, i have friends who do cambridge, ww, sw, lighter life, special k and the typical crash diet. Some work for some people and not for others.

The same could be said of any diet! If you stop the SW diet you'll put the weight back on. Its about changing habits.

One diet cant work for everyone; some people cant eat cereal for 2 meals, same as some people cant work to "red days/green days" systems or counting points.

There is nothing unhealthy about the Special K diet IF you eat plenty of fruit and veg. The problem comes when people only eat special K and 1 meal with nothing else.

I eat a real meal every night, and it can be anything i like, no red days, no green days, whatever i feel like eating that day.

Hey ladies, nice suggestion about the Special K and I am sure you have our best interests at heart, but can we just stick to SW please? It is so easy to go off topic and we could have many many threads about the best and worst diet. I suggest that what works for one person won't necessarily work for the next. We all have our weighs (get it?) and means.

I have postponed weigh in tonight as I have a meeting, so will be going tomorrow. Had a pretty good week. Although the Wendsleydale cheese in the fridge is gagging to be eaten in one go! I wish there were a magic pill for this!

I joined Slimming World two weeks ago and lost half a pound the 1st week (after going to a wedding and then a meal out) but this week I lost 2lb which I was pleased about.

I'm finding there is plenty of food to eat and you can have any amount of fresh fruit and vegetables and lean meat, fish and poultry and pasta, so there is loads of scope there.

You can have up to 15 syns per day so you can have a chocolate treat or a glass of wine as a treat - so you don't feel you are depriving yourself.

I have a disability which means I cannot exercise but been told by my SW consultant that I will still lose weight! :T

I paid upfront for 12 weeks so saved £20 and the joining fee of £10 was waivered.

I have about 3 stone to lose and really believe I can do it with SW! :j
