I know my answer should be yes !!

And I did join the gym for a while when I started SW but I really did not like the gym and I only went for about 2 months before stopping, my exercise was really limited to walking to school/shops etc lol x

  • my partner said that just last night that i need to up my fluid intake as i drink one or two drinks a day.

thanks for the wishes :) and wow you lost loads hehe x

Our consultant used to say that sometimes when you have hunger pangs these could be attributed to being thirsty and I eventually took her advice was quite difficult at first drinking so much more but I guess its like everything else and your body will adapt if i'm not drinking enough now I end up with a headache :( keeps me in check though xx

I've got WI tonight, haven't had a great week but last week was good and I only STS as I had retained alot of fluid so hopefully this week it'll have come off. Got a notch tighter on my belt so even if it's not come off in lbs it's come off in inches!! I haven't done much exercise yet, I walk my dog and go on the wii fit, mainly for fun, but I really need to as I've got to the point now where I've lost a good amount and am a good size in clothes but still don't have a flat tum and need to tone it up. Any suggestions on best exercise to do this?? (without joining a gym!!)

if you have a wii the biggest loser is a good game to play and jack knives on the wii fit plus are meant to be good for your tum! just do the work outs for your tum on your wii fit :)
  • I have a question.....this is my first week on SW and, as a vegan, I'm sticking to the Green Day plan as it allows me more freedom & houmous and nuts as healthy extras.
I have a big appetite, which is why I thought his plan would suit me. I don't eat masses, but certainly I eat well. It's been a few days now and, to be honest, I feel dreadful. I am bloated up like a balloon and I feel like I have gained weight, not like I am starting to lose it.
    Is this normal?!
I'm quite disheartened as I'm really focused on getting this stone off.
    Help!

This is so true. Some recent tests showed that by drinking a glass of water before each meal your hunger levels are greatly reduced. Apparently the brain often confuses thirsty signals with hunger signals.

Also, i dont know if you've seen the program "diets that time forgot" but they also pointed out that by eating slowly (not to the extremes that they do!!) you give your brain time to react to the signals from your stomach that you are full. They estimate that most people are actually full half way through an average plate of food, its just that your brain doesnt get time to realise this as we eat too quickly.

Are you eating greater quanities of fruit/veg than you normally would?

If so this may be the cause of your bloated feeling. It can also cause flatulence. Its just your bodies natural reaction to a change in diet and should pass given a little time.

  • Thanks Sammy - does that mean it won't affect my weight loss this week? I would hate my first weigh-in to be a gain!
I am eating about the same in terms of fruit and veg, but definitely more beans. So I guess that explains it!
Did you find you felt you were eating too much at first? It takes some getting used to, when you spend your life before SW watching every morsel.....
