A thoughtful tip if it helps - you have to really want it. I have done slimming world on and off for years, the first time I did it I lost 1 st and was really happy (not at ideal weight though) family issues and uni = fell off the wagon. Attempted to go back another 2 or so times, not really focused and it didn't work. This time, I was determined to do it. I was the biggest I have ever been, really unhappy, and needed a change. I knew the plan worked, I just needed to make it work for me. And it did!! Also extra easy has been a god send, so much easier with a meat loving OH and me being a carboholic!! Also, please use your syns ppl!! And the naughtier the better because you've had something like chocolate so you feel treated, but stuck to plan, so you still lose the weight!! I lost 3 st in just over 7 months, and it didn't feel like I was punishing myself or not allowed things! Also I find staying to group, even if i've had an awful week, really helps me get back on track!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

Ooooh, never thought about putting beans in soup. Never used to as on WW they had points, but I bet it helps fill you up! I think I might do this, but with my random veg in the fridge. Will see. Thanks for that!0

can someone explain this in very baisic terms to me? i looked on the website and it seems to imply you just eat healthier meals and cut out rubbish? and what are the red days and green days?
thanks0 -
it is really yes (about cutting out the rubbish and eating healthy!)
i have just cut out the rubbish and have lost 5 and a half pounds in 2 weeks this will be my third tomorrow and i have so far this week lost another 3lbs ( i weighed myself tonight, naughty i know)
and i'm afraid i dont really know what red and green days are i choose to do extra easy which is just that!
on extra easy for example you can have banana , muller light yoghut and grapes, for lunch have 3 slices of weightwatchers bread, quorn sausages and a fried egg (as long as its in fry light) and for dinner you can have steak, slimming world chips and veg
thats just a example, this week for dinners i'm having super soup every other day as i made about 6 pints last night oppz
go for one week and see if you like it! its my fav diet club because it doesn't feel like a diet!0 -
thanks i looked it up and theres one near me i just cant really afford to join up just now (i know its not much but i really am on a tight budget) my mum keeps telling me not to diet as it can majorly mess up your system but this doesnt sound like a crash diet where u try to survive on 600 cal thanks for the info. It might be good to have the support but im to ashamed to weigh myself with other people about because im quite young. Im probabally just paranoid but i think people judge me more because of my age and my weight.
i lost quite a lot of weight a couple of years ago just cutting out the junk but sady have put more on than i lost. i think im just a food adict lol. That and i now live with my other half who just says its ok to have a sweet ect0 -
lol its always the way.
i think slimming world is a life change thing rather than a diet its really enjoyable
and there is children about 15 there who are overweight and they seem fine.
everyone is so friendly and you leave feeling so good about yourself its lovely.
no one see's your weight unless you tell them and you can be as friendly or shy as you fancy
i look foward to weigh inx

Hi Mrs Moore To Be - bit off track now, but if your goal is to drop a dress size then i would try the special K diet rather than forking out cash to a slimming club.
Special K (i use tesco's own brand, same stuff but half the price) for breakfast, and lunch and a real decent (healthy) meal for tea. I have a couple of pieces of fruit during the day, and a yoghurt (shapes fuller for longer are fab and really work) oh and sometimes i have another snack such as blue riband and other choccy bars like that which have 99cals per bar.
In 2 weeks i have dropped a dress size, and the weight is still falling off. Im still eating like a pig and snacking through the day but its much healthier now. As long as you dont be silly about it and eat only cereal and 1 meal its a perfectly healthy and safe diet.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0
