Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

What they forget to tell you when they send the piccies is that a picture of a car/number plate is of no use what so ever. Only the driver could/should be persued and the reg number will only show the R.Keeper, not always the same thing. So as above ignore them, they do not have a leg to stand on.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Do I ignore it like everyone suggests
What makes you think that your case would not be solved by following everyones advice [20,000+ posts on here advising to ignore]????Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Why don't you cut the newbies some slack? It's not very welcoming for them when they see a post like yours when they are seeking advice on an issue that is new to them."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

hello! ok so this is my case....
i was so glad to see such helpful info in this! i'm new to the site and just joined after your posts came up when i googled parking eye southampton- i've recently been in same situation, sent letter with £40 fine if paid by 2 weeks otherwise £70! for having stayed in car park 2.5 hours when limit is 1.5hrs. however the store was closed as is with other cases on these posts. i did double check before i left the car and was a sign not clearly on entrance but just happened to be near where i parked, it did state length of time could stay but could not read all the small print as was too high up and was dark 9.30 pm at night. i assumed as store was closed time limit did not apply as was of no detriment to the store! on getting the ticket i went back to re read the sign in anger and frustration and able to see in the light in smallest small print right at the end, opperates 24hrs! as a previous posts says this seems ridiculous as they are not loosing out and not affecting their customer rights! plus the sign is not clear on entrance and 24 hr sentence should not be hidden in small print! i did go back to the store to speak to manager who was very simpatheitc and kind and explained if was in opening hours he might have been able to help but as was store was shut his hands were tied as aldi employs parking to operate the car park for aldi so he would not be able to argue it. is it true that you can just ignore it, would very much appreciate to know what happened to those who did ignore as i can see the post dates were 2008. tomorrow is last day before goes up to £70 and i have been away and just had last day to sort it out- i was on point of paying before i chanced to look up internet about it and from these posts i'm not going to pay! going to email with my points and say girl alone at night and was in my safety i parked near the venue. if anyone has any advice would so appreciate it! even tried call citizens advice bureau! it seems so unjust and such scandal! many thanx! does it matter if you contact them, want to email with my points saying i will not be paying but hear lot of advice to ignore it?0 -

Hi guys yet another parking fine for me too. Spent 3 hrs at the services waiting for someone and got a £90 ticket reduced to £60 if I pay prompt.
included is a photo of my car and a second photo of my registration number as it was dark 3 hrs later.
Apparently there is signs everywhere displaying the parking terms of 2 hrs maximum stay.
Do I ignore it like everyone suggests, I hate being conned!
If it's a motorway services, the landowner has suffered the loss of whatever the 2-24hour payment rate is which you failed to pay for spending more than 2 hours in the car-park (although it would have taken you 2 hours to actually pay it using the next-to-useless telephone system).
Ignore Parking Eye, you owe them nothing0 -
LOL! YES with monopoly money:D:rotfl:
Did I miss a PPC troll? Damn
Hi there, I'm a debt collector, I will send you nasty letters, maybe even phone you if I can track down your number, but I won't bother visiting you as I don't have the rights to access your home and that it will cost me to much time and money to do a home visit..0 -
No, Lurking Enforcer was quoted from way back. He was banned ages ago but was mildly amusing at the time!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
