Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

You have to love the Internet. We just received a PE PCN today and through the love of online I already knew is was bog roll. I wonder how many letters will come through to 'scare' us? Lol
The car park in question has a gym and about 15 large retailers and we over stayed by 20mins, 3 hour limit apparently. So quite how you can avoid going over 3 hours after a 1 hour workout, 30+ mins in steam room and jacuzzi. Then chill have a coffee, go do Christmas shopping, buy some food, look for a new TV, go buy some new light fittings and finally load he car up. Not saying we did all this but it's easily done.
I for one will let PE take one for the BPA team waste more resources on letters. In fairness to relax the wife I may complain to one or 2 of the retailers.
Keep up the good advice though folks.
You can't and if someone is on there shopping gym etc, the retailers should be taking action against the managing agents for the site and the PPC for restraint of their trade with their parking scam.0 -
I should have added the gym does have a key pad that you maybe more than 3 hours. So if your less you don't think to fill it in. I'll be sure to let the gym know big timeNew PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0

I once had a similar situation. I received the PE drivel for allegedly overstaying while in a gym with a keypad. I checked the car park sign, which said 'please enter your registration...' The PE dross was alleging that I had breached a contract on the basis of a sign which said 'please...' That is when I twigged that the legal eagles at PE are just plain dim.
I was in the gym at the time, so no trespass or loss. I didn't bother to tell them. Please PE, take me to court.0 -
Around this area, Parking Eye "manage" a small Co-Op's car-park which a 30 minute limit on parking. The road which the Co-Op is on is about to be closed off to replace a railway bridge, so the majority of the traffic will be diverted away from Co-Op. Co-Op themselves has managed to get a discount on business rates owing to the falling of passing traffic (which seems fair enough, less passing traffic will mean less customers). Parking Eye wanted some money as well to cover "loss of income" for the 3 months the bridge will be closed. Co-Op turned around and said no and has given Parking Eye their 30 days to get out of the car-park.
A result I say, byebye greedy Parking Eye.0 -
So just like the Jason White incident, Parking Eye are admitting that their whole "business plan" is not about preventing unauthorised parking, but about screwing as much money out of the motorist as possible. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Lets hope the 'Caring Sharing Coop' get rid of their association with this scamming pondlife asapStill waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

I have received a parking charge notice to owner from parkingEye £60 or £40 if pay early for 2 hours parking.
I may not have purchased a ticket, although unintentionally as I have used the car park a lot in November and December and purchased tickets this one time was as my 6 week old baby had stopped breathing and I drove there as I had managed to get him breathing again after over a minute.
I'm also expecting another letter to come soon in the post as I again visited the hospital as my little boy was taken to hospital in an ambulance 4 days later when he stopped breathing again and I was not in the house so I drove straight to hospital where I saw the ambulance and simply parked and ran over to see if he was ok, once in the hospital and comfortable I went back to the car and purchased a ticket which I still have in possession.
Question is do I pay the first fine and also if I get a second fine do I appeal as it showed I wasn't trying not to pay just my thoughts were to run and see my baby was ok first.0 -
IGNORE IT ALL.

I first received a "parking charge notice" letter from Parking eye (£40 if paid earlier, £70 + liability for further charges) which I replied to them about stating I was not the driver of the vehicle, they replied with something along the lines of 'you state you are not the driver of the vehicle but did not state who was". I've been informed they have no legal right to demand I reveal who was, so I told them this and if they can confirm I have to pay the charge regardless of not being the driver this then please do.
They chose to ignore my request and sent another letter demanding payment. I am coming to the end of tether with them, its driving me crazy.
I am going to continue to ignore them. Anyone out there currently ignoring them and received any further letters?0 -
Why do people ignore the advice on here, and then come on and ask for further advice????
Eg....advice on here is 'ignore all contact [except a proper court summons]', yet people come on regularly and say 'I've been writing to them lots and they won't leave me alone. What should I do??'
Which bit of 'ignore' is the bit that's difficult to grasp??Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0
