Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

My mum received a fine from parking eye and stupid me I wrote a letter of appeal on her behalf explaining why she went over the 1 hour limit, reason being was that the supermarket was closed and she didn't realise that the parking conditions still applied when the store was closed and had infact gone to another store after shopping at the farm foods store. They have not replied and have only sent a reminder notice, I was going to call them tomorrow to see if they have received the letter of appeal but after reading everybody's posts it looks like I shouldn't of written to them? Can I still ignore them or have we basically admitted fault so will I now have to pay? Please can somebody get back to me as she only has till tomorrow to pay the fine which will then increase, thanks for your time0

So glad I read this, I got a invoice for £40, rising to £70 from Parking Eye this morning.
Obviously I was fuming but I initially decided I would just pay and be done with it (expect many think that). But after reading this, i won't even be acknowledging them.
The funniest part is one of the reasons I went over time (by 40 mins) in an Aldi car park is because I got stuck in the lift going up, the doors wouldn't open at the top, eventually it took me back down again but I had to wait for the lift to be fixed (I'm heavily pregnant and had a 2yr old in the trolley so stairs weren't an option).
Then to top it off by the time I'd finished the shop, both lifts had then packed up, meaning I had to trek through the heaviest rain round the outside of the car park, down various ramps with a trolley full of food (& 2yr old and bump).
Will I be paying, urm no!0 -

Will I be paying, urm no!make sure you tell all of your friends too and tell Aldi what you think about their car park contractor.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Unfortunately Aldi think that the sun shines out of ParkingEye's backside. I contacted Aldi a few months ago and told them what I thought about their gaffe prone parking contractor. I was told by a very nonchalent member of staff that the majority of their customers approve of ParkingEye. This is no doubt the result of careful research by Aldi. NOT.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Got my second letter today, one day before the reduced rate expires (naughty naughty !) presumably to scare me into paying.
I am really starting to enjoy this (although Mrs rafraf isn't !)rafraf03

Just to throw this in the pot, I was using a site validation tool for a community website I am sorting, so I thought why not put Parking Eye's site through the validator.
Guess what, the site falls foul of EU law due to no privacy policy, and carrys' a £7000 "real" fine so guess who I am sending the results to
