Plus you do not want to around go breaking the Data Protection Act. I doubt you will have paid your £35 to the regulator. So by blatantly telling them the name of the other driver you have broken the law and are liable to a FINE of upto £5000 in the mags court As you will no longer be able to claim the domestic use exemptionPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0

Cruz99,
I got a PCN for the very same car park in Preston a few weeks ago, so if the unbelievable should happen and they did take you to court, you would have heard about it first from me as I'm on the third letter!
I have chosen the ignore route.0 -
Thanks for you replies guys,
It's made me feel a lot better and it's laughable to read that Napthens don't have a licence for debt collection.
I am not a violent person at all but i can feel the blood warming up after hearing what these guys do to so many people...0 -

At least we now have a free 24/7 car park in preston0 -
Just got my first parking notice and after reading these threads i feel part of a new family!
Worksop Farmfoods is now part of the parking eye empire!
Working in data protection and crime prevention - No im not a rozzer! i felt compelled to call this company before i enter into the IGNORE ode which i thank you all for advising.
I spoke with a very well ill informed member of staff asking?
When did this site go live? when did the signage go up? when did you start recording sensitive data and how long was it stored for? who can obtain this data and could i see their code of practice for this site and the information commissionaires registration?
MMMMMM - i cant answer any of those questions unless you appeal !
I dont need to appeal against a non enforceable notice as it is worthless isn't it? All i need is basic information perhaps a manager can help me?
Manager - we are not prepared to answer all these questions!
Could you provide me with your subject access data request process as im am concerned about sensitive data you may be collating?
we dont use sensitive data!!!!!
Michelle the account manager then informed me that i had breached data protection by asking her name - which of the 8 principles have i breached i enquire - all of them and then out the phone down!!!
Perhaps i should send them 4 letters, and subsequent unenforceable legal threats until i realise its pointless and give up - oops sorry i thought i was working for them for a moment...
Thanks to all for your experience sharing and unity in providing vital confidence to people who live decent lives and may pay these thieves without question.0 -

I had a similar experience with them when dealing with them for someone else who had made the mistake of contacting them. I wrote and asked since they were monitoring live CCTV in a public place[their claim although its no more then a cheap recorder] could I have the SIA licence number for the operator. You know they never wrote back! And the friend never received another invoice!0 -
I teased them further with the question of licensing and vetting procedures under B.S 7858 and their credibility as processors if challenged in court, again this was met with a wall of wonder and silence.
As i stated i work at a senior level in crime prevention and data protection and find it astounding that companies can operate within BPA legislation and gain profits on a scale of inciting fear without knowledge.
This is my first experience with this company but i will go out of my way to now antagonise them further through the correct protocols challenging their operations through F.O.I.0 -

Nice one! They clearly try and bamboozle folks, and actually know nothing!0 -

Slight correction. There is no such thing as "BPA legislation". Don't forget that the BPA has no official standing. It's not a proper regulator like Ofcom or Ofgem. It's just a cosy member's club for the parking "industry".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
I got my 1st, 2nd and 3rd reminders from Parking Eye in the post this morning. Sadly, I was frightened by it and paid the £70 straight away, and came online later *weeps*
I parked in the same car park again on Fri, so if i get another notice, I'll ignore it!!!0
