I got my 1st, 2nd and 3rd reminders from Parking Eye in the post this morning. Sadly, I was frightened by it and paid the £70 straight away, and came online later *weeps*

I parked in the same car park again on Fri, so if i get another notice, I'll ignore it!!!
You are not the first to be taken in by their threats so don't worry, except about the cash that is. At least you know what to do next time.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Unfortunately their scheme worked on you! Their little trick of making the "PCN" look official. Their clever wording making it sound as if they have a right to charge you.
I am sorry you have been conned out of your hard earned, but at least you now know for next time!

It seems Parking Spy are doing the rounds of the Debt collectors that's the 4th different one in the last few days. Funny Roxburghe knew jack about it. Generic letterheads do you think?

lher13 Don't worry about Parking Spy they are easy to ignore. Its not a "fine" its a request for you to pay them, which I am sure you will turn down!
  • just read my letter again and it said i should refer to the civil procedure rules 31 and the solicetors name is graham white roxburghe did know what i was talking about they had all my details but couldnt actually tell me what would happen if i didnt pay?

Shows their utter ignorance. "civil procedure rules 31" are not for the small claims court. They use this gibberish to bamboozle people in to paying. Graham White is renowned for it. Graham White/Roxburghe next desk same office.

Just ignore the letters and don't pay them. I've not heard anything from them for 8 months now. I received 3 letters, in about a 1 month period, some with photos etc... It's pointless sending a response as they will just reject it even if you have a store receipt and legitimate lawful reason for being late.

This company exists only because of worried people who opt to pay, rather than fight. I don't personally know of anyone who has EVER been taken to court by Parking Eye. Just sit tight, and wait for an official court summons. Believe me, it just won't come.

The best way to attack Parking Eye is via Aldi, B&Q etc. Make it clear to the store manager that you will never shop there again while Parking Eye is in operation at their store. The more pressure you put on the stores by not using them, the sooner they will terminate their contract with Parking Eye.
My husband has written to Parking eye and to Aldi, we received a response from aldi who spoke on the phone. He said that he would request a refund from Parking Eye, but not to hold our breath, as they took their time, he also said in response to my husbands saying we would never shop at Aldi again until they got rid of these robbers, his response was " well if we lose the odd customer because of parking eye, so be it" how arrogant is that?
We will most definitely not be shopping in Aldi again.
