Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

Yesterday I received a PCN from ParkingEye. I was suspicious as it claimed i had overstayed at a car park I had never heard of in a street with no car park and with no town quoted!
The "we only are open for receipt of money and don't correspond or answer questions" approach and the operation from a PO Box further raised my suspicions.
Glad to have found this site and various threads but sorry to hear this is a long term practice.
I would like to know how such bandits can be shut down and not just re-opened with a new name.0 -
Unfortunately enough people believe their pseudo-legal clap-clap and pay up without question. They are not breaking the law most of the time so nothing can be done about them. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

My husband has written to Parking eye and to Aldi, we received a response from aldi who spoke on the phone. He said that he would request a refund from Parking Eye, but not to hold our breath, as they took their time, he also said in response to my husbands saying we would never shop at Aldi again until they got rid of these robbers, his response was " well if we lose the odd customer because of parking eye, so be it" how arrogant is that?
We will most definitely not be shopping in Aldi again.
"Lose the odd customer" what a !!!!!! who do they think pay the wages. They know they lost you, but how many don't speak to them and just don't go back?
I hope Parking Spy are good as their word and send your cash back!0 -

A PO Box number looks better then!

One advantage of the little scheme, needs a PC a Printer, envelopes and stamps. A friendly DVLA, and someone looking at recordings then sending demands for money out.0 -
Just for the record, I am pleased to report that today I received a cancellation notice of the PCN issued by ParkingEye after I challenged it.0

Great, but two things to say
1. It was a waste of time on your behalf [but hey it's your time] , but much more importantly......
2. erroneously talking about a 'cancellation notice' merely serves to legitimise their dubious practices...so to anyone else reading this please, please, please, please don't watse your time writing to them [for any reason whatsoever] as it merely encourages them to chase you.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Glad you had a result, however seeing it was not you or the car park didn't actually exist its not much of a concession they have given you.
I would have thought an apology for wasting your time would have been more fitting then a cancellation notice!0 -
I was disappointed at the distance my 2nd parking eye letter paper aeroplane covered.
Maybe the extra ink from the grainy photos of our car weighed it down.
Solution: Stand nearer the bin for letter 30 -
I noticed recently that our local tesco store has now got cameras on the car park entrance/exit and signs stating that 3 hours maximum is allowed.
I don't know why they have decided to do this as all car parks in our town are free and local streets unrestricted, so no one would choose to park there when not shopping there (store is edge of small town).
Are these the companys refered to in these posts (i've not read the sign thoroughly to see the company name).0 -
