Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

I doubt there's even a Legal Department. Probably one office with a few computers and some cowboys to add names and addresses to pre-populated templates.0

I did warn you it was like talking in a foreign language. You say something and they come back with the answer to something else.
I got a letter off them once, it looked like someone had let their Labrador walk on the keyboard for all the sense it made!!0 -

No need to insult Labradors, they are very intelligent creatures0 -
Just ignore the letters and don't pay them. I've not heard anything from them for 8 months now. I received 3 letters, in about a 1 month period, some with photos etc... It's pointless sending a response as they will just reject it even if you have a store receipt and legitimate lawful reason for being late.
This company exists only because of worried people who opt to pay, rather than fight. I don't personally know of anyone who has EVER been taken to court by Parking Eye. Just sit tight, and wait for an official court summons. Believe me, it just won't come.
The best way to attack Parking Eye is via Aldi, B&Q etc. Make it clear to the store manager that you will never shop there again while Parking Eye is in operation at their store. The more pressure you put on the stores by not using them, the sooner they will terminate their contract with Parking Eye.0 -
Hmmm I just received one for parking for 9 hours in Aldi...
I parked there 10 mins in the morning, and 10 mins in the evening for shopping. I live 400 meters down the road. Lazy I know... Anyway quite clearly there is a serious flaw in their software, as if it fails to see your car leave the car park and then you return you get landed with this.... Personally I think their practices are tantamount to fraud.... I am quite happy for them to take this to court as I have witnesses that I was at my mothers while the duty doctor came out to see her. I have used their complaints because to be honest I have enough stress to deal with and receiving these letters will just wind me up each time they arrive . I have also made it clear to them that I have pointed the flaws in their system out to their employer in this case Aldi.Val0 -
On another note if it comes to me ignoring all their letters. how does not paying affect my credit rating?Val0

I don't think its a flaw just a tweak to make more money. Lots of people will just pay up, after all the parking company can't be wrong, can they?
Just continue to ignore them as its going to daiappear after about 5 letters/threats.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

Not one jot. They would have to take you to court(very unlikely) you to lose the case (even more unlikely) and then you to fail to pay what the judge orders( that's not going to happen anyway).I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Thanks for that...
I find it amazing that supermarkets that value their customer service so much contract these cowboys to enforce parking restrictions.Val0 -

Hence our campaign of writing to supermarkets telling them we won't shop there again until they get rid of these people. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
