I have received a parking charge notice from Parking Eye for parking my car too long at a service station. Yes I was there, but I was actually sitting in the car for the majority of the time.
Can I get out of this one??

Parking Eye issue toothless threats but NEVER do court. Now tell all your friends to ignore Parking Eye and all parking tickets from private companies. Only police and council tickets need to be dealt with.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

hey, i recieved a parking charge notice from ParkingEye last week, which i paid to the amount of £52.50. (2.50 extra as i paid by debit card) the reason i paid this is because the driver of the car DID park in morrisons car park without paying OR using morrisons, he went to a nearby restaurant. I paid and thought that was the end of the matter, however recieved another letter yesterday saying i havent paid yet. ive been looking around on the net and i can see many people saying do not pay, i was wondering what peoples advice would be seeing as i already have paid once and they sent another letter?
Should i ignore the second letter, and do you think there is any way i could refunded for what i already paid?
any help would be appreciated.thanks.0 -
Absolutely not a chance in hell of getting your money back. From now on just ignore, you've paid more than enough so there is nil chance of any comeback.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Is it legal to charge extra for paying by debit card? £2.50 seems excessive even if they are allowed, and they appear to be making a profit out of it! Only word for it - scum!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Not as far as I know. It was banned for council tickets though. £2.50 seems a normal amount, dvla charge this for C/C.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
