Try again online, failing that, try ringing. You should be able to get sorted in a few minutes. They usually want you to go into the branch to sell you other products.Justice for the 96 YNWA

Have one Lloyds classic account that I've now 'upgraded' to a Vantage. Applied for another one online, not showing another account online after a few days and nothing in the post yet
Can anyone remember how long it took to show the new one online or to get details in the post?
As I already have a Lloyds account, will the application generate a credit search or will it be an internal process?
Thanks.0 -
Both my 2nd and 3rd classic accounts were opened online and were visible online the next day, then both upgraded to Vantage. 2-3 days later the details came in the post.
However I am a long term Lloyds TSB customer.5/10/12 : Mortgage Free0 -

Yes there will be a credit search.
When I applied for my second and third online on the first attempt I received a letter telling me to go into branch to open the account.
I ignored this and reapplied online successfully.
With the successfull applications the new account appeared online within two days.
With the other two applications it was about a week before I received the letter.0 -

I guess I'll just wait a little longer or try and apply online again (I want 3 accounts anyway).
I've been with Lloyds for around 20 or so years so I think I'm a fairly long term customer also0 -

I was a new Lloyds customer when I opened a vantage account last year. I added accounts 2 & 3 this month, both took approx 3-4 working days to show and to upgrade to vantage from classic is immediate when you apply online using the 'upgrade' button.0 -

Thanks, just logged on now and it's showing, upgraded straight away to Vantage and applied for the next account
What happens if I was to try and open another account after that (ie the 4th account)?0 -

Thanks, haven't got enough cash to need another one at the moment, but at 4% interest that's 3.2% after basic rate tax and therefore better than most ISA's if I'm not wrong, so could even be worth taking money out of my ISA and moving into one of these accounts? Obviously I'd lose my tax free status of that money should rates increase again in the future or this deal end but something to think about maybe?0 -
I would not do that if you are thinking long-term. The Vantage rate is variable. Even if they do not cut it, it is unlikely to rise in line with base rate when the latter returns to more normal levels.0
