Mrs Chaos- I bought my DD a silicone pastry brush for Christmas (along with other things!) and it's fab! I use it all the time and she's told me she's buying me my own for Mother's day! xx0

Sorry but another dim computer question what does defragmenting your computer do?
I've done it but just wondered. It took me about 15 minutes to find the start button I looked at each drop down bar there was and just when I was giving up I saw the huge green start button in the corner!!0 -
Another quick question whats a troll?0

Evening all
Busy week here - first time I have had time to post propper this week.
I hope you are all well and flying
Thanks to everyone for the positive job vibes. I have been offered a contract at my old workplace until minimum Christmas and I also have another interview lined up for Monday for another 12 month contract elsewhere (haven't decided if I should go for this yet? Kind of think that If I go for it and was to get it I would be messing them around seeing as I have the other role.....)
Only flying I have to do this week is the bathroom which I will do in the morning - my Friday task will be tidying up the garden and planting onions, garlic, shallots and bulbs if that is ok?
I took my mum to Valliland today - waved to you Vallishame I didn't know you were in town, we could of had an old style mini meet!!
Mumof2 - After doing a safeguarding course, I couldn't believe it wasn't illegal to leave children alone of any age however, I wouldn't hesitat calling Social services in your case at this time. I wouldn't class a 14 year old as being responsible - apologies if others disagree but to me I find it hard to believe that the parents are so irresponsible
Big thanks to DH tonight for doing all the master bedroom tasks for me whilst I did HM fishcakes for tea
One question for peeps. Are any of you members of WI's or anything similar? I am 31 and am starting to feel like this is something I would be interested in joining, however would like to seek other opinions. Interested in learning more about experiences and how much time you have to devote to it each week. I currently do college and my volunteer mentoring for a young person at risk - is it easy to fit in? TIA xIt's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0 -
Evening all,
I wouldn't normally be online this time on a Saturday, but Mr LW is killing stone golems (Dragon Age Origins PC game) and we're not entirely on speaking terms, so I'm not helping him.toottifrootti wrote: »LameWolf thanks for the photo of Molly she is adorable - was that taken with you last year on her hols too? how lovely to have her - is she ok with you or do you find her a handful - depends on her age I suppose - she looks quite a docile doggy - i could cuddle her!!! Hope your tum has settled now.
Thanks, the ol' tum seems to be back to normal now (fingers crossed.
Yes. that's Molly about to come in my back door, when she stayed last year. She's (I think) 5 yrs old, but very well trained; been coming to us since she was a pup, so it's second home to her. She walks with my mobility scooter without a lead, no problem, and when I have to lie down, she parks herself alongside the sofa so that I can stroke her, and has a snooze.
All in all, a lot less hassle than a DH!!!:D
LadyL imho, getting shot of a load of emails is perfectly valid decluttering.
Right, offski now, I tthink Mr LW is approaching the "creeping" phase.:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Soappie, I think that is the next step, how good he is at it I don't know. He was part of the 'attatched to the back of your eyes' conversation, but hasn't really took the lead on this. I think I need to speak to him tomorrow/Monday about it. I never thought about the itch one, he hates itchy things, good idea!
Lots of study pages read, think I have one huge issue with this years course, it's not something that particularly interests me. General arts course and it's not as much my thing as Science/Psychology/Education etc was....so taking a lot longer to get into. Think I am going to read my assignments through, see what I am supposed to be doing at the end of this reading, then work through it from there. Little light reading before bed hehe
Goodnight everyone x x x xOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Thanks to everyone who passed on advice re pastry brushes - shall venture out in the morning to get one, as the old brush has already gone in the bin.0

Thanks again for all your input. DH is going to go and talk to her tomorrow; she is on antidepressants and can be rather wobbly at times so he feels he needs to tread carefully and talk about it without rowing. He's going to put his foot down but in a nice way. Be interesting to see what happens if the girl's dad is there as he's a real idiot imho.
Off to bed now; done my penultimate typing job for a project someone is doing and will do last one on Monday and then will be £100 better off :j!
Goodnight my lovely FlyladiesFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
