Wish I could tell you. Registered but just keep getting weekly update emails not really updating me on anything. Sure some people have posted on here - think they are having a few problems due to the amount of demand being experienced

All depends on when your area will become live. I agree though - as long as you already have Sky there offer is going to be hard to beat....
  • I’m currently on Option 4 with BT, paying £30 per month, I was thinking of moving to Sky…

Anyone had any good/bad experiences with them?

    Thanks in Advance

I haven't but our next door neighbours have been with them for a while and they haven't had any issues. Hadn't heard of an option 4 before - what does that give you?
  • As a reply to the above, I was promised the 4th Sept as connection date, & I was told (after a phone call to Sky) that I will receive the elusive router by that date, on the 4th no router, so after yet another phone call to "customer Services", hmmm, I will receive a call from a manager to let me know when I will receive the router, as of now,1.45pm 7th Sept, no call, no router.
Can you get through to Sky, you can if you want to wait on hold for over 10 mins, last night around 9pm I was waiting for 25 mins to speak to someone at Sky & ended up, hanging up.

    Not very happy:confused:

    See #151 for update :T
  • Im in a similar situation. Was meant to be active on the 31t of August. I caleed them and they said thee was a delay and i would be active today the 7th of sept. As i have yet to receive my equipment i called them today. My account is with the engerniers and they dont really know whats happining.

I received an email from Sky today advising BB available in my area & also a special code to use while ordering broadband. They have advised that code is only valid for 5 days from receipt of the email.
Am currently with Ntl:freedom.. is it worth moving to Sky right away.. having second thoughts after reading through the forums where ppl have been complaining about delay in activation of the BB by sky.. i cant afford to be without BB.. has anyone had smooth transfers to sky?? and how long can i expect to be without any service before the BB service gets transfered between service providers??
    thanks in advance..
  • Thanks for the info, any idea when?

It has been mentioned on another forum here that Sky will be implementing SMTP (& I assume POP3) servers but will not provide technical assistance.

    Any idea when bbb_uk?
  • :j Update.......
After complaining several times I have received TWO calls from Sky & ONE letter saying sorry, & that the router will be here today, & it was, at 8am the nice man from Parceline delivered my package, hooray, yipee, It worked, eventually, not their fault, but my new wireless card, & it's quicker than my previous ISP.Although their web site won't let me log on, apparently a tech issue at their end!!!! : ):j :D
