I put one tumbler tomato in a hanging basket and it got absolutely massive. Had to remove it, was totally rootbound in the basket, and put it in a morrisons bucket. Definitely one per basket I think!! Mine doesn't tumble either it's just a really strong beefy plant which keeps going up and up!Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0

I do hope it clears a little bit, got plenty of french beans needing repotting and no undercover space to do it in, I may have to have soil and plants all over the conservatory again!!
Nope, not yet... But I will. Think I may get a couple of the poundland bags as well as the kit, I just feel 5 in one bag is too many! (Bit late for my first lot though...)
Flaming engineer didn't turn up, so I waited a bit then went out. Got back to a note through the door saying he had been running late, someone could have phoned to tell me that... Grr.oh my word, my tumbling toms in hanging basket have gone mad!!!!!!
I planted two in a 35 cm basket, now thinking maybe one will be enough.. any advice gratefully received?
I have one in a basket in the greenhouse. It's got the start of 4 truses and is currently making a break for it out of the window vent. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -

It's gone nice now so I went for a run, got back and now I can't be bothered to do them. I might have bothered but even sitting indoors I can smell next door having a bonfire and they are a bit strange so don't want to have to talk to them really :rotfl:
Oh what a blimmin pain not turning up on time ay, nice of them to let you know :mad:Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0 -

Could be a little behind if they don't get sent out soonio!Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0 -

Thanks, think I shall make that my job for the weekend.. dunno where I'm going to put the all, but I'm sure I'll find space0 -
I have just received an e-mail from blightwatch to say there is a full Smiths period for my area. Does anyone know if I should do anything or just continue to sit with fingers crossed? I do have some bag things from Germany that are supposed to stop blight but is it too late to put them on?0

Well, I went to B&Q and Focus today to look for fruit plants. They both had black and red currants but only focus had raspberry canes and rhubarb. Problem is what they had was such a poor neglected specimen that I didn't even think half price was worth it for a single leaf in a massive pot.
I guess I'm just going to put my fruit empire opn hold til next year. At least I can ignore it and move on now0 -
Woohoo I have 3 courgette plants with flowers. 2 with 1 flower and 1 with 2. Ahh what a lovely yellow they are. I can't believe the courgette that was almost compleatly desimated by slugs and snails, leaving only 2 leaves is one of the ones that is flowering. It just shows how battlers some plants are and this is always hope even when all looks lost. Weather it fruits I guess is another story.
On another note I have just been on a bug hunt. Whilst checking my toms I pulled the one that has compleatly curled and looked to be dying as I was worried it could effect the others. I had a good look at the rest and can see some little purple spots on the under side of some leaves. Should I be worried?0
