Look on it as a lucky escape, and while he's out pack his bags so he can move out tonight. And first thing tomorrow get your name off the joint account.
    Hi Errata,
He has all the power about how much he decides to put into that account so my guess is no more money will be going in there! you are very wise, you helped me out once befoe and I remember you.
  • Bin him. He'll spend your maintenance on whatever invisible items that he spends so much cash on each month and still demand more. My suspicious mind goes straight away to various things that come in ten pound bags, quarters and grams.

Bin him. Anyone worth their salt - good or bad with money - wouldn't take the p by being so defensive about 'his' money at the end of the first month.
hi Jo. I just did, glad someone else is up

Think the reaction (and violence) is pretty much an admission of guilt. Hope you're OK, OP.

Keep him binned. It's obviously been a cheap way to find out he isn't worth your time.

Don't fall for his stories about how you made him react like that, how there was a perfectly reasonable explanation for it, blah, blah, blah. You're 'lucky' he didn't break your fingers or give you a wallop for doing that.

So, a relatively inexpensive way to find out he is a complete t o ss er.

I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • yes and no. it feels weird but I know I must be right, why so scared that I see his screen? feeling sorry for myself now, could have a real big cry but he's not worth it.

Yeah your'r right. he said he was sick of being accused of things and that I didn't trust him:mad: well yeah, just show me your screen and what your face book name is????? It does not exist.
  • So, he was spending all his money and then started spending yours in the joint account and on top of that he's been secretive about his Facebook adventures, and in front of you at that? Cheeky ruddy sod! Honestly, you've absolutely done the right thing. To be so disappointed in someone so early in a relationship is just horrible. You've had a very narrow escape. Imagine the misery a year down the line....

Oh heck. I'm really sorry to hear you so upset and distressed after that scene with your boyfriend.

I must admit that I wouldn't like it if my partner wanted to see what I was doing on my laptop - I'd feel that I was entitled to some privacy and independence - but his reaction was OTT - verbally and physically.

How long had you known him before he moved in?

Please remember to extricate yourself from that joint account before he creates a bigger overdraft and leaves you with more than a damaged finger to remember him by.

    Good luck.

Well I was going to reply to the original post, but was shocked at things taking such a turn so soon!!

Glad you have got rid, he doesn't sound like the trustworthy type (OMG at the laptop incident!)

Just try and get that joint account closed asap before he uses up any more O/D. What a ruddy cheek he had!!

Well done for being on to him - some people would have let that go for months before questioning the fairness of it.

Btw - is he a little younger than you? He sounds like he is quite immature and conversationally impaired (that's me being nice) ;)
