The phone does ROCK. I've had mine for a week and a half now, and it's absolutely amazing. The interface took a while to get used to (coming from a Nokia N95), but I now love it.

I love how customisable it is. I've installed Locale, which detects when my handset pairs with my in-car bluetooth, for example, and it then automatically loads Spotify for my in-car tunes :D or detects when I'm at work using a combination of my calendar and physical location, and puts my phone on vibrate and so on.

Love it love it love it!!!!

Mine was also unlocked (sent by 3)

Didn't realise there was an issue with stock on this phone!

I just smooched onto mobiles.co.uk on Saturday, ordered myself a Free Desire on Orange Dolphin 25 for 24 months and £10 cashback and it was here on Monday morning.

Best phone i've ever had. My missus who has an iPhone 3GS is jealous...

Just checked and mobiles.co.uk still have Desires in stock on all networks. They are part of the Carphone Warehouse group. I'd never used them before but couldn't believe it was delivered on Monday morning when I ordered it on a Saturday! :D

    24 months is a long time :(
I'm still holding out for an 18 month

For anyone is interested dialaphone have a 12 month contract:

    Free Desire
    300 minutes
    3000 texts
    Unlimited Internet (500mb)
    £40 per month
3 months free line rental (by redemption)

    Works out at £360 total

Plus you can grab £35 Quidco from dialaphone, so £325 total. Works out at about £27 per month

I'm thinking of grabbing one :)

I've never kept a phone for as long as a contract and always end it early and sell my phone to make up the early termination fee.

I had to Pay £86 to Three to end my current contract. Just sold my old phone on ebay for £115. :)

I've just ordered this. I wanted sim free but the cost of that is nearly £400 and this works out much cheaper and I can spread the cost over the year. I'll use my work sim in the phone, been looking for a good deal for a while and this is the best I've seen.
