Flossy,
Who did you sign up with and was it a retention deal?0 -
Hi, just thought I'd post my experience here. I also signed up online for the Phones4u £25/ 18mth Orange Dolphin plan (through quidco for £35cb). I got a call today telling me that tbis offer is no longer available and I was instead offered a 24 mth for £27.50.
Seems this phone is so popular, they are making their offers up as they go along! I had a moan and said I'd go shop around and see what I could get. The guy called me back and offered £50 cashback on the handset in the form of a cheque after 28 days and I now have 600 mins as well as the 3000 texts and "unlimited internet" (500mb, lol, unlimited if you don't actually connect perhaps!)
Well must admit I'm not ecstatic with how it's worked out but i've caved in and agreed as I've had crappy phones for the last 10 years and have worked hard for htis beast! I also have issues with coverage on TMobile in my area which limits my options. So I haven't got a deal anywhere near as good some of you, but nuts to it, my Desire is on it's way. :cool:0 -
Well mime's charged up and I've just spent 40 mins setting it up and having a play. It's an amazing bit of kit. To be honest coming form a Nokia 6500s it's a bit overwhelming it can do so much.

Excellent news as the free google Sat Nav software is now available in the UK. :TIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Interesting. I just phoned T-Mobile and wnet through the menus to the bit to 'report a problem with my internet' and spoke to someone in the UK who confirmed I have the 3GB allowance. I wass expecting to be told ti was the 1GB allowance as I bought it via mobiles.co.uk.
I'll have to monitor it and see what happens but she certainly seemed to check my specific account. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends

Tried the Google Sat Nav earlier, works fine. No need to install updates, just go to Maps, then Directions, and off you go.
Edit: Found I had to install the text to speech app, but it took me to the link automatically. My only complaint is that she sounds like a whiny cow. Already it's like being married lol.0 -
@ bubblesmoney.... flossy's deal sounds like an Orange deal not T-Mobile to me...
Sorry if I am wrong and it has previously been mentioned. Its a great deal though to get all those mins and texts and a free (amazing) phone for £25 a month but the 500MB internet killed all posability of me getting an Orange deal unfortunately.
Anyway have had confirmation that my desire is on its way now... big grin on my face, can't wait.
It was the 500mb internet issue why i didnt opt for vodafone or orange. because of this i thought three or tmobile would be better for my needs.
I cant understand how three network can give free spotify for the length of the contract etc but limit internet to 1gb, even when I asked for a 3gb package like tmobile their stock answer was they dont have a package above 1gb even if the customer is willing to pay extra for it.
I am just twiddling my thumbs as have no idea when mine will now be delivered as again confirmed the delivery wont be happening tomorrow as was initially explained to me when i ordered both the phones of 15th, as they dont have the stock now. Still trying to get the contact details of their complaints department but their 'help line' people just dont give the contact details for the complaint department, neither can I find it on their blog or their website. I dont even know if they have signed up to any ombudsman.
If anyone knows the contact details for three network complaints address / email or their ombudsman service can you please give me the details. Thanks in anticipation.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

I'd agree with that, she sounds worse than my old Garmin Nuvi. If you go to setttings then 'text to speech' there's a greyed out option to 'Install voice data'. Hopefully that means we'll be abel to install different voices in the future. It's my problem, it's my problem

i found elsewhere on some adroid videos on google (after going through loads of htc desire videos on youtube and geekanoids webpage etc) that googlemaps on desire doesnt give multitouch but one can update the old version of googlemaps preloaded on desire and update it manually and install the new version and then one gets multitouch even on googlemaps. the geekanoid website htc desire videos are excellent as are the many other htc desire videos on youtube.bubblesmoney :hello:0
