Just ring them up and say you want to cancel... they will ask why... tell them about the deal on MPD (don't mention the 1GB internet bit... its just "unlimited internet" ;) )

They will either match it or not.

Thanks for the prompt reply MORPH3US, is there a good time/bad time to call retentions do you think. Really hope I can get the phone for free on this tariff.

Their 900 minutes, 500 texts, booster + unlimited net deal for £25p/m is the one I want, but they want £95 for the handset. Not up for that, spend enough as it is. I really can't see them waiving that though when I ask, I'm terrible at negotiating. Current contract is Flext35 but I've gone comfortably over that for the past 18 months so I want to reduce costs as much as I can. They offer the Hero for free on the above tariff but even then that phone coming up to being a year old which is a long time in the phone business.....do you think they will knock something off the Hero tariff?

Where does it actually say that mobilephonesdirect operate a 1GB cap with their 'ulimited web' package? To me this seems blatantly against the law.

I phoned CPW about the desire which they are offering on a 24m contract on Orange but said only interested in an 18 month contract. They said they are still negotiating the 18m contract terms so can't offer any deals on it.

Also said they normally release the phones a week after anyone else cause they supply generic phones i.e. without the orange software (and unlocked he said).

The more I look at this phone, the more i like it. Don't think the camera comes with a flash tho which is a slight bummer but it does so much else, I think I can put up with that.

I'm gonna try calling orange next and see what they offer.

lol, that was a lot of use.., they just blankly said they can't upgrade me as its not available yet. Looks like I won't be an orange customer for much longer cause my contract ends 10th May and then I'll just go for the best deal I can find, whatever network its on! It seems wrong that new customers can pre-order but existing customers have to wait longer???????

Was told some of the Orange Tariffs are changing to including unlimited internet at the end of March where as before it was a bolt on for an extra fiver. They had no details of the new Tariffs when i spoke to them last Friday other than that some are coming and what they are roughly changing (i.e. internet usage)
Comp wins 2010 (Feb onwards) - loads of books, CD, Toys, Photographic lighting rig, Mobile phone, 16GB ipod Nano, Digital camera

    Comp wins 09 - £4500, 08 - £345.70!

All mobile companies have a fair use policy on their internet. Orange for instance is 500mb. Tmobile is 1gb for all phones apart from Android phones which is 3gb, although it seems from reading previous posts that only applies if you buy through Tmobile direct. If you buy through a third party such as MPD, it seems to be a 1gb allowance. How the hell they know I have no idea.

    I think nay.

Why not get it down to £25, unless you dont need that many mins and then you could get it lower.
