Nevermind, managed it! Very helpful and pleseant sales rep on the other end. The key is to ask for it as an outright purchase, don't mention the word upgrade! :j0

Three have tempted me to stay for £24pm with a Desire on a 24m deal.
It'll be here on Friday apparently.0 -
After battling Vodafone over their 500Mb hard limit data introduction, VF retentions have come up with a very good deal:
- £20/month for 18 months
- Free HTC Desire
- 600 mins
- UL texts
- 500Mb internet
The cheapest I've seen is T-Mobile through Beepy:
- £25/month for 18 months
- Free HTC Desire
- 300 mins
- 300 texts
- 1Gb internet
The VF deal works out cheaper for more, even if another £5 has to be paid for data usage up to 1Gb. Now the question is, can I trust VF...0 -

phannon, what did you do, call 150? what options did you choose?0 -
It's for O2 only as far as I know. Call 202, option 2, then 2, then 2 again for "thinking of leaving O2. Simply request you'd like to purchase an HTC Desire outright, do not an upgrade, just a handset only purchase. Some advisors seem to be aware of it, some try to put you through to another department, don't let them, ask them to look up the price, and they will confirm £285.0

Can I divert the thread towards apps? The most frustrating aspect of Gmail is the lack (or seeming lack) of an ability to "select all" and then deselect items you are interested in. You have to go through a laborous process of hand selecting email, not fun if you get a lot of spam!! Does anyone know of a way around this?0

Anyone got a good deal on this phone recently?0

I got mine from 3 on a retention deal. Internet Talker 500 + free phone for £17 a month (24 month contract).0

I've got my PAC from O2 (CPW) and Vodafone have offered me a great deal but there's no sign of stock on the horizon. Anyone know of anything else going?0

For those who ordered from o2, how long did it take from placing order to getting phone?I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0
