I was told previously that I "had built a good reputation with o2" so I would qualify for 40% reduction in my line rental, that sounded great however I told them that I wanted the desire and I was told the best deal they could do was the same as you guys above. Gave them the swift response with the second word being off and asked them for my PAC code. I was told that the system was a bit slow so it could take upto 48hours to be delivered which "would give me a chance to think if I really wanted to leave o2". I think they could well be delaying giving people PAC codes so that the short term genuine good deals are gone by the time the code arrives and people have to start searching again. I did ask them what deals I could have my "loyal customer" 40% discount and it was a hanful of outdated phones, in the past I have had phones that have been out for less than a week on my "loyal customer" discount so I am dissapointed in o2 and I have decided it's time to leave. The best deal I have found on the desire is through vodafone atm however if you do need to stay with O2 then e2save has 11months 1/2 price line rental by voucher redemtion if you don't mind the hassle of sending bills off every few months. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0 -
Just watch the inernet allowance with Vodafone. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends

For it to be a genuine discount then surely they have to offer it on ALL phones.... otherwise its obviously just 40% off deals that are 40% overpriced in the first place.
I hate O2 (mobile) - they are sooo overpriced compared to other networks.0 -

Is it just me or is this not very good?!! I got put through to retentions for this deal and she reckoned she couldnt budge on the minutes or the phone cost as the 'computer wouldnt let her' is this true or is it worth speaking to someone else?
I got offered the exact same deal with them yesterday too. They also tried to push me to the £35 deal as this made the phone free, despite me telling them i could get an equivalent deal for £27.50 on Orange. I asked for my PAC, got it by text 4 hours later and have gone with the Virgin Mobile £25 a month deal for existing Virgin Media customers (free phone) with 28 days to try it out.The Daily Mail

How are people getting on with the 500mb limit? Do you have to always keep an eye on the amount or is it enough?0

It's hard for people to say. It depends how much it's used and how much you use 3G compared to Wifi.
I'm on T Mobile but if I was limited to 500MB it would be fine for me as I have WiFi available at home and at work so I don't use 3G that much. It's my problem, it's my problem
