    Hi All

I got an HTC Desire last week, it drains the battery really quickly and I was wondeirng if there was a forum on here for getting the best out of your Desire please?

I hav turned off the 3G when I'm not using to stop it draining, but it still drains quickly.

Also can anyone recommend something to keep track of my interne usage so I don't exceed it?

    Thanks in advance.

Try these two free apps from market:
    juicedefender (for power saving)
net counter (keeps an eye on data usage)

As above and I also use a dark wallpaper, which seems to help.

A dark non-active wallpaper is best.
There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I set most things to run manually.

For example, I don't need the weather constantly updating!

    I know.

When it is raining on me I have no need to consult my phone to confirm this.

I ordered my HTC Desire from Beepy a few weeks ago, when it said they were backordered until the 7th of May.

Still haven't received it, so I was thinking of calling them to ask how long it is likely to be...

However, I went through Quidco to place the order, so will contacting them place my £40 cashback (which hasn't tracked yet) in jeopardy?

I haven't received any email from them, but I did get the £2.50 credit check(?) charge, which as of yet has not been refunded.

Bit worried because my PAC code expires in a couple of weeks, and I don't want to get in a mess switching my number, argh! Tried to order from mobile phones direct initially, but they didnt recognise my address.

Just phoned O2 regarding upgrading to the htc desire-best they could offer me was £30 a month for a 24 month contract-i'd have to pay £50 for the phone with unlimited texts and internet and 300 minutes.

Is it just me or is this not very good?!! I got put through to retentions for this deal and she reckoned she couldnt budge on the minutes or the phone cost as the 'computer wouldnt let her' is this true or is it worth speaking to someone else?

    got offered the same deal.....

O2 are not interested in doing cheaper deals on such a popular phone when it jhas only launched today on their system. its a shame but i shall probably go to orange £27.50 and free phone ( when its back instock )
