I dont know anything about the reliability of beepy website though wrt delivery and cashback etc. also internet it says is 1gb and no other free booster eventhough tmobile deal.
i was just exploring my options if i didnt get delivery of my handsets tomorrow from three on upgrade orders made initially on 15th april and later a new delivery date given on the 3rd may and hopefully will get it tomorrow.
I stumbled onto Beepy via another forum, can't find any bad press about the company. The deals look very good, coupled with cashback make it very interesting.0 -
Hi All
I got an HTC Desire last week, it drains the battery really quickly and I was wondeirng if there was a forum on here for getting the best out of your Desire please?
I hav turned off the 3G when I'm not using to stop it draining, but it still drains quickly.
Also can anyone recommend something to keep track of my interne usage so I don't exceed it?
Thanks in advance.0 -

I nearly went for my Desire through Beepy, but I found lots of bad press where people haven't received cash back or vouchers for free Wiis. I went to a T-Mobile shop in the end. Be careful.0 -
Beepy 2.7 out of 10 on Trustpilot:

add this to the end of the url above as it won't let me post it in full!

Indeed, although if you look at reviews most of the 3rd party resellers have negative reviews. It's human nature that people only write a review to complain
But still, you're right to say proceed with caution, thanks.0 -

Personally i always leave the 3g on but do turn off the GPS as that kills the battery. I also turn off WiFi if I'm somewhere without a WiFi connection.
Turning off the automatic screen brightness can help. Personally I have mine set to about 40% and that works well for me and looks fine.
To onitor net usage try netcounter or 3g sentry. I use netcounter, it's nice and simple and splits it to show what you've used on 3g and WiFi. Althought he WiFi bit doesn't work on the Desire yet it doesn't really matter as that doesn't count towards your allowance anyway. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
As above and I also use a dark wallpaper, which seems to help.
I tend to kill all running processes regularly to avoid the drain on the battery0 -
You can also try fully draining and tehn fully charging the battery a few times. Some people think that helps.
Personally I just charge mine regularly, all smartphones tend to be a bit heavy on the juice. It's my problem, it's my problem
