  • I have had an excellently thrifty long weekend!

On Friday I went for a sneaky charity shop excusion which gathered, in the space of two hours - a pair of gorgeous and seemingly new Topshop 'Baxter' dark skinny jeans which retail for £40 for £3! Would never pay the full price but love them! Also a black real suede vintage shoulder bag with gold clip frame for £2, and a cute short-sleeve longline cardi for a pound! Just because it had a couple of holes in it - I'm more than happy to stitch up a hole to save that much! And a gorgeous shabby chic style old faded tablecloth with pindots and a blue and green floral border print for £1.50 :j am trying to work out how to photo it for the shabby thread!

And yesterday went for a lovely day out to the beach, using free diesel from BFs work, and collected some lovely driftwood to display in vases, it looks great and a bit different as an ornament! So a fab day out with total spend £7 on fish and chips! :)

  • Today my dad and myself swopped some seeds and onion sets for planting. I gave my dad some surplus onion sets, leeks and carrots. He gave me some thyme and basil seeds. The shoots are coming though on my tomato plants that I have sewn and when I thin them out I will give to a few to the neighbour's children who would like to grow tomatoes.

All my yoghurt pots are used to sew seeds.

Yesterday I was given a £5 off clothing Tesco voucher by a friend, and found £3.72 between oh's front door and the car! OH laughed at me picking it up and then asked if I could lend him some money!!! Was given a large box of apples by OH, over ordered at work, think kids ate about a dozen of them last night whilst I was at work! Also found the bestseller I'd been umming and ahhing over in Waterstones, in the local hospice charity shop last week, along with 2 other bestsellers, and 3 other books, all for less than the price of a new book!

This morning my neighbour gave me some pink baubles to turn into earrings for our 70s night tonight! Fun, free and sparkly to boot!
