I am now feeling very inspired and will take myself off to the dozens of charity shops in my town after payday. Thanks everyone!

A nice set of small pots and a tray from my aldi strawberry plants I bought today.

They will do very nicely for growing my lettuce seeds on.

I got in our local Barnados - a pair of leather brogues and a M&S shirt for my son, a playmat for my grandson, a pair of M & S jeans for me( size 12 - yay!) a book on patchwork for my friend and a tie rack for my other friend. Really pleased. I am also gift aiding all donations to them and am emailed regularly with the total which is very encouraging.

Had a very good week for bargains and free stuff. Free seeds from Dig in and BBC, also a garden planner. New curtains off Mum. A friend gave us a load of books and video's for housebound hubby - always welcome. On the other side have made lots of stuff for others, baby shoes, blankets and an embroidery so have balanced out my Karma :j

Whilst I was in the garden today I decided to finally tackle the rubbish the previous owner had left. Upon doing so I found about ten beautiful ceramic plant pots hiding behind a load of old rubbish. I have chucked the old compost out and will give them a wash. They will look lovely :)

Free bacon roll and coffee for me today at work.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.
  • Some great finds here!! I am well impressed and can only aspire to what some of you manage!!

I 'acquired' 6x hot cross buns from work today....boss brought them in Tuesday but there were cakes/biscuits/bread for toast already...so no one wanted them. BB date of 24th. Of course everyone panics and assumes they become poisonous at 00.01 on 25th - so they are now in my freezer awaiting bread pudding making session!

Also....2 free packs of seeds from Good Food Magazine (Tesco clubcard rewardy thing subscription....only thing I can realistically use my rewards for - and just about what I 'earn' annually so works out quite nicely!!) Got rocket ( one of my faves) and peppers (OH's fave) - Result!!

Coffees for the office from a cafe down the road. Salad and a cake that a colleagues friend brought in for her - but she went home sick :( and said we could eat. :T
