Today I was given a large pile of fabric pieces, mostly dress or skirt lengths - although I can't use most of them, I know several people who can put them to good use so I'll gladly share the gift.

Slightly overcharged in Mr T's so some 'Double the Difference' money to go into our penny jar.

just an add-on to the post about being a months money in hand. dont quite know how this will work with monthly pay, but years ago when everyone was mostly paid weekly, we all used to make a policy of starting our money a day later each week. after 5 weeks, you have a weeks money in hand.

worked well but as i say, dont quite know how this will work with monthly pay.

Not so much a frugal find of today but it has been sitting in my shed for about six months- a lovely garden set with tempered glass which i got in a sale for £20. I took it out today and it is lovely :) Perfect for the sun!
Very nice. This could also go in the 'treasure hunting at home challenge' thread

a dress and pair for trews for dd from the CS - £1.50, some branches for the fire from walking a different route home, a jar of 55 giant jelly eye ball sweets for a silly pressie for ds birthday next week for £1 and gave 4 bags of books to the CS.

On the flip side thought I'd check out new green grocers in local shops - 49p for a head of garlic but I needed it as stupidly ran out! Can get huge ones half that price elsewhere and has really put me off supporting a local buisness - all their prices looked steep compared to my fav market stall
