What frugal find came your way today?

Yesterday saw a potting bench in Morrisons reduced from £15 to £13 because one slat is missing. Two hours earlier I had ordered my greenhouse (and managed to avoid delivery charges because a mate can pick it up.. turns out the factory is only a few miles from where I live)... so I will need a potting bench and staging.
Same mate is doing my patio, so the pallets will be reused - make more staging and to put a new slat where the missing one is from the Morrisons bench.
Darned two small holes in a jumper I got from a charity shop (didn't realise it had holes until I got home) which required three different colours of wool all sort of blended together.
It's now good enough to wear to work.
Stitched the buttons onto the waistcoat I knitted for gardening in so it's ready for spring too.
Got given a whole boxful of ribbons etc for flower arranging (I don't do flower arranging) which will come in handy somewhere, sometime... (lots of Christmassy stuff, red, gold etc, wide ribbon with wired edges). Lovely.0 -

Walking home from the shop along the river bank this afternoon, straddling the path was a huge branch from a tree. I have no idea how it got there as there are no trees near. Anyhow I managed to drag it home for our ever hungry woodburner.Away with the fairies.... Back soon0
