Time I posted a "giving" - dunno if this counts but the other night we asked a friend round to watch the football on our new freebie freeview box. He doesnt have a tv and has been living on cup a soup, ys sandwiches and biscuits for ages as the landlord of his new place has not delivered him a cooker. He got to see our team win in Europe, a few cans of value bitter and a jacket potato and beans (which he is still raving about)

In return he bought us all a 4 pack of value lager and beer.(am dreading taknig the recycling out to the bins as it is mostly cans of booze. lol)

a plant cutting i'd put into a glass of water has formed roots,so I've potted it into some compost, hopefully it will grow into a strong healthy plant and go out into the garden in May.

At last I can post something on this great thread!:j

I was sorting through some stuff to put on Ebay and found a black string vest someone had given DS1 when he was little. I was just about to put it in the charity bag when inspiration struck! I have sewn it across the bottom and now have a useful little bag to keep in my handbag for emergency YS bargains. Sad and bizzarre I know :rotfl:

On a more sensible note, we have just taken MiL to the garden centre and been sent home with a pack of chocolate for the kids, treats for the dog, cheese strings she bought, but doesn't like, (Why did she buy them?), a book, 2 mags, and a couple of phones to Ebay :)

    Yay! HE x

Camera bag in cs for 2.80! bargin and also double brand new duvet cover and 2 pillow cases for 5.99. Have made the pillow cases into cushion covers as they are nice bright stripes and look good and I have plenty of plain white pillow cases which go with any bedding. Really pleased with myself.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

I picked up come crocosmia bulbs from a freecycler today - I am really pleased as my garden is huge and only has roses and weeds in it currently.

A 1970s vintage Tiny Tears doll from a charity shop for 50p for my 26-month-old daughter. I don't know who was the more excited; littley because the dolly closes her eyes when she lies down to sleep and wets after a bottle, or me, because it's just like the one I used to have when I was a child!

Apart from being a bit grubby (have now scrubbed her clean), Tiny Tears is in perfect working condition and even has all her hair plugs, eye-lashes, and original top knot, plus fingers and toes that haven't been nibbled by little teeth!
