Four bags of wood chippings for the chickens run and six bags of horse manure that I've now spread around the garden hoping the chickens will dig it in for me.

3 magazines free from a friend. Free lunch at work as on a team building day.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

A packet of Marmite toothpaste:eek: in the post!

Turned out to be a Marmite cereal bar, clever ad gimmick, though! It did make me think "OMG what next!" but it was all to catch my attention - I have seen this sort of advert on posters around town but it got me all the same! hehe. The cereal bar was quite nice, but if I want the flavour of marmite (which I love!) I shall spread it on toast, won't bother buying a processed-food bar for it!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

1 calico shirt £1 on the CS sale rail......enough fabric to make 4 dolls and 6 nice buttons for the button tin for use at a later date!

4 yards of 60'' wide navy blue woollen fabric....£4 from the same CS...enough for a skirt and jacket for me.

And last Saturday I bought a pair of brand new M&S summer sandals for £4 from a different CS...so happy.

You need to make an appointment to open a savings account? Sod them, I'd be opening an account at a different bank. Cheeky devils, anyone would think that you're not a customer

Great Thread! My Grandad sent me the best sewing box in the world, for no reason, bit of a shock, hes usually rubbish at picking gifts, last one was a creepy talking toy i gave to a niece. Im 27!

It's beautiful and came with needles and threads and buttons, one of which was the perfect size for my coat, missing for ages! im sure ill get a lot of ue out of it.

Also a natural "green" hessian shopper that a friend has abandonned because the liner got tatty, it shall serve me well in the garden...
