A packet of Marmite toothpaste:eek: in the post!
Turned out to be a Marmite cereal bar, clever ad gimmick, though! It did make me think "OMG what next!" but it was all to catch my attention - I have seen this sort of advert on posters around town but it got me all the same! hehe. The cereal bar was quite nice, but if I want the flavour of marmite (which I love!) I shall spread it on toast, won't bother buying a processed-food bar for it!Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
1 calico shirt £1 on the CS sale rail......enough fabric to make 4 dolls and 6 nice buttons for the button tin for use at a later date!
4 yards of 60'' wide navy blue woollen fabric....£4 from the same CS...enough for a skirt and jacket for me.
And last Saturday I bought a pair of brand new M&S summer sandals for £4 from a different CS...so happy.0 -
I found 30p at work last night
(Im a cleaner at a childrens play and party center).
Today in a CS pair of new black leather shoe boots for £2.99 and 4 metres of very nice flower fabric (bright oranges and blues) for £3.:DGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Saved £52 by switching my home insurance provider. But lost £4 on petrol going to the bank to cancel the DD and try to open a savings account.Need to make appointment apparently,"The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

Great Thread! My Grandad sent me the best sewing box in the world, for no reason, bit of a shock, hes usually rubbish at picking gifts, last one was a creepy talking toy i gave to a niece. Im 27!
It's beautiful and came with needles and threads and buttons, one of which was the perfect size for my coat, missing for ages! im sure ill get a lot of ue out of it.
Also a natural "green" hessian shopper that a friend has abandonned because the liner got tatty, it shall serve me well in the garden...0
