Thanks to this thread, I have just realised that the old wooden plinths from the kitchen that had gone a bit mouldy will be handy for another raised veg bed! Must be slipping as had them out on the drive ready to take to the tip! Eek! So not exactly a find ......GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

I love Fridays, its a local car boot and market day.
My friend and I use our bus passes and go to stock up on fruit and veg very
reasonable Theres also a small charity shop and sometimes the local christian centre has a table top sale where we have had many bargains.
Today my best finds were a pair of almost new hotter shoes for 2.99 and a pair
of rebound type pillows for a 1.00
So a very frugal enjoyable morning for us, and as a bonus the sun was shining too.Slimming World at target0 -
Been charity shop browsing again, not that MSE lol but I was in town for some shopping....DS got a 'Happy Feet' penguin (was new with tags until he ripped it off lol!) and I got some wool (I'd say about 300g in nice colours) for £2. Quite pleased
.
Mum also sent me some biscuitsand a car for DS- not really a find just a very kind mum.

Splurged today went for a wander round the sally ann shop and spent a whole £2 on a lovely pure silk Liz Clairborn shirt then spotted a box footstool for £3 which will be perfect to convert into a small cupboard for the bathroom saving me a fair amount given the prices they come in at.:D"To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill" Sun Tzu0

Wow great bargain, just curious but how do you recycle old socks, I use a few as dusting mitts and then just bin. I also fill some with a bit of cat litter and dried lavender to stick in shoes I am not needing for a while. Would love some more suggestions.Slimming World at target0 -
I was given a bulging bag of lovely clothes for my DS - all great quality stuff (well apart from the Arsenal shirts ;-)!! Also been offered a free Nissan Micra this weekend but not that ideal so holding out on that one for a while. I do love freebies :-)Toxic & Tired - Starting 2010 afresh :beer:0

Oh I'm so so chuffed, I've wanted the Delia 8 book box set for ages and am always borrowing the individual books from the library, and a lovely lady from Freecycle has just offered me the set! I'm picking them up on Monday, so excited. I'll bring her some home made goodies to say thanks.
Also I found in a charity shop a little cupboard with a glass door that was originally for keeping your hi-fi (the top lifts so you could get at the record player). It's a good size and has an adjustable shelf, so I snapped it up to keep my cookbooks in and free up some much needed kitchen space. I'm surprised how many I managed to pack in and it looks really nice and it was only a fiver!0
